Over the years, Joseph and I have done a number of articles on
creating your own reality. They’ve always elicited vastly diverse responses,
ranging from furious outrage to gracious praise.
Well, we’re gonna do it again! But with one significant
difference. As you can see from our title above, this time we’re focusing on
creating a JOYFUL reality for yourselves. And not just any old reality.
You all know you create your own reality. If you didn’t have
at least some inkling of that, you wouldn’t be reading this newsletter in the
first place.
But many folks don’t like to be reminded because they don’t
like what they’ve created. It’s sort of a "Catch 22." Your life
sucks, you know you did it to yourself (maybe), and you don’t think you know
how to change it.
And so, dear friends, this message will focus on how to create
what you want in the future, instead of just on how you created what you’ve
got right now. Great way to start a new year, don’t you think?
I’d like to share with you a bit of my personal journey,
beginning just over 10 years ago.
On May 24, 1992, as the sun broke through the misty silvery
stillness of the California mountains, a familiar figure appeared to me. He
identified himself as Chief Joseph. He was familiar because he'd been lingering
on the periphery of my awareness for six years. But I never knew who he was. Now
I did.
In May 1992, I was experiencing some pretty hefty challenges in
my personal and spiritual life. (Or to use Joseph's definition of challenges -
opportunities for remembering who I am.) He offered to help me. I said,
"Sure, I can use all the help I can get!"
And so the journey began.
I can't say it was an easy journey in the beginning, even though
Joseph was there for me through it all. It was far from easy!
In fact, as 1992 became 1993, I experienced my darkest time ever
in this lifetime. I was going through a painful separation and divorce. My
financial situation had gone to hell in a hand basket. My self-esteem had
followed my finances into the abyss. I felt so alone and lonely, estranged from
many of my family and friends.
Did I create all that chaos and pain? Yes! Did I want to
acknowledge it? No!
But, strange as it sounds, 1992-93 was one of the best things
that ever happened to me.
I drifted aimlessly for several years, alternating between just
giving up completely and yet somehow knowing there was a purpose for all I was
feeling and living.
Then Joseph and several other friends convinced me to "go
public" with our work. I agreed, though reluctantly. That was the beginning
of a new birth into light, a renewed life for yours truly.
I was finally learning (or remembering, as Joseph would say) not
only how I created my reality, but how to create a joyful reality for myself.
As those of you who’ve been with us a while know, Joseph and I
always go on and on (probably ad nauseam) about how powerful we all are–mighty
creators, goddesses and gods in human form. We can create whatever we wish. But
first we must remember we’re always creating, whether we’re aware of it or
not. We cannot not create.
And therein lies the problem and challenge for many. You create
either deliberately or by default, but create you must. You create with your
predominant thoughts, with your primary focus.
The Universe’s Law of Attraction guarantees you will always
get whatever you focus mostly upon, whether it’s what you want or don’t
want. And whether you believe that or not, it’s a fact of life on Planet
Earth. A fact you must live with, whether you acknowledge it or not.
The past several years of my life have been an epiphany for me.
I now know, beyond the shadow of all doubt or fear, how powerful a creator I am.
I’ve proven it to myself, time and time again, in ways big and small. I can
create exactly what I want, and when I want it. My life has never been more
joyous, more abundant on every level.
Would I trade the darkness of 1992-93 for anything? No!
No matter where you are in your life, whether that life pleases
you or not, you have within you the power to make it better, to grow, to live
the life of your dreams.
In fact, you cannot not grow. If you are alive, you are growing.
Period. Yes, you can choose to leave your physical existence (as I almost did
several times in 1992-93). But you cannot stop growing, ever.
And ultimately you will look back on all your lives, all your
creations, and feel only the deepest love for yourself. And you will feel the
greatest, most blissful joy you’ve ever known. You will have come home again.

Since 1992, John Cali has been communicating with a
non-physical entity called Joseph. In one of his many physical lifetimes, this
spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe in
what is now the state of Oregon in the northwestern USA. These messages are a
blend of information from Joseph, other spirits in the "Joseph group,"
and John.
John can be reached by email here
or through their website (http://www.greatwesternpublishing.org).
