A subscriber sent us a most interesting question in
response to last week’s newsletter.
If you missed last week, you’ll need to read it if you
want to make sense of this week’s newsletter. So if you did miss last week,
check it out here before you go any
farther.
The subscriber’s question, which I’m sure many others
also had, was: "Now, how do we keep from turning the computer off?"
And here’s Joseph’s response.
Chief Joseph
It must be obvious you will never receive an autoresponder’s message if you ask for answers
from it, and then immediately turn off your computer.
You’ve got to leave the computer
on if you’re going to receive the response you asked for. And if you do leave
it on, you always get what you asked for. Do you hear that? Always!
You always get what you ask for.
And the same is true–this is an
exact parallel–when you ask the Universe for something. Let’s use a specific
example we know many of you can relate to.
Let’s say you’re looking for a
soulmate. You’ve spent many long hours and much energy making your list of
qualities you’d like in your perfect mate. You’ve spend countless hours
visualizing, praying for, your perfect mate.
You have thereby put your request
out to the Universe. And the Universe responds instantly. It begins
orchestrating all the details, aligning all the energies, getting all the
pivotal people and circumstances lined up. The Universe can manage all that in
as short a time as it takes you to read this paragraph.
But then think about what often
happens with many of you.
You’ve put out your request. The
Universe has responded instantly and perfectly. Then you turn off your computer.
And how do you do that? Well, you
can do it in many ways.
You could get emotionally caught up
in the relationship challenges someone close to you is having. Let’s say that
person is so deeply disillusioned all she has to say is "Relationships
suck! I’ll never have another."
If you buy into that, you’ve
turned off your computer.
Let’s say you look at your
society’s divorce statistics–pretty daunting, aren’t they?
If you buy into the inevitability
of that, you’ve turned off your computer.
Do you get the feel of where
we’re going with this?
You’ve put your request out to
the Universe. The Universe has answered instantly. Then you shut down your
computer. And spend your days wondering why you never get what you want.
To get what you want,
you must first ask for it. Most of you have no problem with that–you’ve
mastered it well.
But then you must leave your
computer turned on. By that we mean you must focus only on what you want. And
not on what you don’t want.
If the experiences of others are
what you don’t want for yourself, don’t think about them. If you must focus
on the experiences of others, think about those who have achieved what you want
for yourselves.
Focus only on what you want. It is
that simple. And you will always know you are allowing the Universe to deliver
to you what you want by the amount of joy you feel.
You will always find joy in doing
what’s right for you. And you will always know what’s right for you by the
joy it brings you.

Since 1992, John Cali has been communicating with a
non-physical entity called Joseph. In one of his many physical lifetimes, this
spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe in
what is now the state of Oregon in the northwestern USA. These messages are a
blend of information from Joseph, other spirits in the "Joseph group,"
and John.
John can be reached by email here
