Does Spirit Really Care?

Many of our subscribers write us regularly. By far, most letters are positive and supportive. But some are not. I would not call them hate mail, but they come close.

I received such a letter several days ago.

The letter writer said she was a Native American. She also said a white person had no business pretending to channel the spirit of a Native American. There was no way, she said, the spirit of Chief Joseph would choose to speak through a " non-Indian," to use her phrase.

Obviously, she was biased. But her letter brings up an interesting question. A question many others have brought up with us over the years, though not always in a combative or hostile way.

The question: Does Spirit really care about the race, color, creed, etc. of the human they are speaking to or through?

I would think the answer would be obvious to most of us - NO! But, clearly, it’s not obvious to everyone.

So I asked Joseph his perspective. Here’s the answer.

Chief Joseph

The very idea of Spirit being constrained by human perceptions is weak, at best. It makes no sense.

When each of you emerged from Spirit into your current physical bodies, you carried with you all the love, power, and wisdom you, at the soul level, possess. But in the process of becoming an adult human, you forgot what you knew as Spirit. When you return to Spirit, you’ll remember it all once again.

However, you do not need wait until you leave your physical bodies to enjoy the fruits of Spirit, if you will. You can enjoy those fruits right now by consciously cultivating a remembering of what it is like in Spirit. You do that by becoming and remaining connected with your soul self, your higher self, or whatever term you prefer to use.

And when are you connected? Whenever you’re feeling good - pleasure, passion, whatever, and so on. Basically, when you are feeling joyful, you are connected. Remain in a state of joy long enough and you will remember who you truly are, goddesses and gods.

When you are remembering, even if only for a few fleeting moments, you will experience the bliss and ecstasy your soul exists in eternally.

And when you get these brief glimpses, you will feel no boundaries, for there are none in the realms of Spirit. Spirit certainly does not perceive humans as you often perceive one another.

Spirit perceives you always with great compassion, limitless love, while deeply honoring the path each of you has chosen in this lifetime.

Spirit sees not race, color, creed. Spirit sees only the eternal beauty of the perfect beings you all are. Even when you do not see your own or another’s beauty and perfection, Spirit does.

And Spirit does not care what human form you have taken in this lifetime.

Since 1992, John Cali has been communicating with a non-physical entity called Joseph. In one of his many physical lifetimes, this spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe in what is now the state of Oregon in the northwestern USA. These messages are a blend of information from Joseph, other spirits in the "Joseph group," and John.

John can be reached by email here or through their website (http://www.greatwesternpublishing.org).
