If you’re as old as I am, you’ll remember a popular song titled the same
as today’s article, "I’m Looking Over A Four-Leaf Clover."
I grew up in a small farm town on the shores of Lake Erie in Western New York
State. Many of my large family lived in the same neighborhood. One of my
favorite aunts, Lucy, lived next door to us.
Separating our houses was a large grassy field we often crossed when our
families were visiting each other. Over the years, we traced a well-worn path
across that field.
Aunt Lucy had a natural talent for finding four-leaf clovers. To me, a guy
who’d never found even one four-leaf clover in his entire life, that seemed a
most amazing talent. For years I’d looked frantically and fruitlessly for
four-leaf clovers.
Four-leaf clovers seemed to find Aunt Lucy. She didn’t even have to look
for them. And when they "jumped out" at her, she found them so
irresistible, she just had to stop and pick them. As a result, we kids had tons
of four-leaf clovers Aunt Lucy gave us.
After years and years of this, Aunt Lucy finally tired of it. She got to the
point where, when she crossed the field to our house or back to her own, she
would cast her gaze skyward to avoid seeing the abundance of four-leaf clovers
begging for her attention.
Here’s Joseph.
Chief Joseph
Aunt Lucy knew what abundance was
all about.
While you may not consider an
abundance of four-leaf clovers true abundance, the principle is the same whether
we’re talking about clover or gold or dollars or lovers or anything else your
little hearts desire.
Abundance is your
birthright. Abundance has been seeking you, stalking you even, ever since you
were born into this lifetime. Abundance knows it is your birthright. It knows
you are seeking it. It wants to come to you even more than you want it to come
to you. It wants to come to you in any and every way you can imagine it.
And yet most of you, at least at
one time or another in your lives–and some of you, for most of your
lives–manage to resist and repel the onslaught of abundance quite
successfully.
Why do you suppose that
is?
This gentle soul, Aunt Lucy, can
teach us much in this regard. Yes, her abundance came in the form of four-leaf
clovers. But she was not lacking in other forms of abundance either. Though she
was far from what your world would define as wealthy, she never lacked for what
she wanted or needed.
She was a gentle, loving, trusting
soul who knew all she ever wanted would be given her. She absolutely loved
four-leaf clovers. And so the Universe delivered unto her an ever-increasing
abundance of them. Even more than she could handle at times.
Do you see where we’re going with
this?
All you have to do it ask the
Universe. Or God–or the Great Spirit–the Christ–whatever name you choose.
Ask for whatever you want, for your heart’s desires–and it is given.
And then–and this is the place
where many of you falter–you simply trust. You KNOW in your heart, with
absolute certainty, whatever you have asked for is already yours. And it is
yours in great abundance as long as you remain open and trusting.
Often, as with Aunt Lucy, you will
be given more of what you want than you are comfortable dealing with.
And that is a most delightful
problem to have, wouldn’t you say?

Since 1992, John Cali has been communicating with a
non-physical entity called Joseph. In one of his many physical lifetimes, this
spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe in
what is now the state of Oregon in the northwestern USA. These messages are a
blend of information from Joseph, other spirits in the "Joseph group,"
and John.
John can be reached by email here
