John Cali Well, the response to last week’s newsletter was overwhelming. I want to thank all of you who wrote for your amazing show of love and support for Joseph and me. I must be the luckiest guy in the world to be doing the work/play I love, and to have folks like you by my side. From my heart, thank you all! This week I want to share some of those responses with you. As you know, I prefer to keep these newsletters short and easy to read. All of you have plenty to do and read without receiving a long newsletter from us each week. So, given that, this week’s issue, albeit longer than normal, will consist only of a sampling of responses from last week, and without comment from me. Next week we’ll get Joseph’s thoughts on all this. If you missed last week’s newsletter, you may want to read it before you read this week’s. It will help you put everything into context. And here are the excerpts from last week’s responses. I’ve included names only where the writer has given me her/his permission. Readers’ Responses John, When one is placed in a position of having to defend a belief system, he/she has lost the war already. There is no defense for any belief system because it is based purely on personal experience. Those experiences cannot be transmitted to another. It is a shame that some few others cannot accept the fact that Chief Joseph comes through many and that the messages may seem quite different because of the vibration of the one or ones bringing in the information. Many years ago I learned an important lesson. Teachers come to you and offer what they will. You are always free to follow the teacher but if you polarize either positively or negatively with the teachings you invariably encounter obstacles along the path. The harder you try to follow and the more you polarize, the obstacles grow until they ultimately create a box canyon from which there is no escape save turning about from that path. It is so important for everyone to maintain their own sovereignty. Listen to each story. Take from each story what you will but maintain your own sovereignty. You establish a wonderful vibration through the way in which you handle criticism. Stay your course!
Thank you, ********************** Dear John, I read with interest your last newsletter regarding the comments of the Nez Perce woman: "John, I have just discovered your website, at first with delight and then with dismay. Chief Joseph is my Spirit Guide and I have long been hoping to make contact with anyone else who is fortunate enough to be guided by this wonderful man. I thought I had found such a person in you, but on reading the supposed words spoken by the Chief I find these to be a sham." I will interject here that for the past 6-l/2 years I have been attending monthly sessions where Jeshua ben Joseph (Jesus) is channeled. After each lecture, there is a Q&A period. I note that Jeshua always speaks at the level of the questioner. This is especially noticeable when a new person comes for the first time and is perhaps a fundamentalist. He only gives them what they are ready to accept or are capable of understanding. Also, he speaks to us as "Jeshua" because that is what we relate to best (we were his followers in his lifetime as Jeshua). He could just as easily speak to us as one of his other incarnations or as Sananda, which he did once on request. I must admit that the first time I discovered Chief Joseph's messages on your website, I didn't think it sounded like a particular Indian speaking. It sounded like an ascended master. In fact, it sounded like it could have been Jeshua speaking. What I am suggesting is that the Nez Perce woman is in contact with the energy of the specific Chief Joseph incarnation, and you are in contact with the Joseph soul group, or whatever you want to call it. It would be nice to have confirmation, or denial, from Joseph (through you). A number of years ago in a personal reading, I was told that Chief Joseph is one of my guides and that he will be with me throughout the earth changes. I do not channel yet (haven't seen the need yet) and am not in conscious contact with him, but earlier this year he appeared to a friend of mine during a healing session with a message from me. I live in Idaho next to the Nez Perce Reservation.

Don't ever stop, you're both precious beyond words. ********************** Hello John, I just read with some amusement your latest letter. You were so right to just ignore the comments. I sincerely feel the young Indian lady does not fully understand the spirit world. Yes, Chief Joseph may speak to her differently, as he will speak to her understanding and vocabulary. While he may also speak to you, using your understanding and vocabulary. Why is it so difficult for people to understand this concept? People need to get out of their "earth" linear, 3D thinking and understand that there is much more than we can possibly imagine out there. Spirit can speak to many people in many languages, using many forms of vocabulary and understanding. No one "owns" any spirit being. They are free to communicate with whomever they choose. So I applaud you on your choice to just not respond. Keep up the good work!

There is hope because there are people like you giving us that gentle tap on the shoulder, asking if we are feeling joyful and keeping our minds as vast as the Universe. ********************** John, Hi, Once again you have brought up a subject very close to my heart, when I too have been suffering condemnation (of) what I am writing right now . . . in much the same context. I am struggling with the information that comes through me at early hours–information that I know is from my "guide," "non-physical" or "higher self." But because it is a power too strong to resist and obviously needs to be written for whoever's eyes to see, I am going with the flow, closing my ears to ridicule and criticism, and doing what I ultimately do best–believing in ME and the inner tutor within me. Through your transmissions from Joseph, John, I have felt so much love, contentment and joy, that I continue to curl up under my duvet and just listen to your/his voice often, especially when I am feeling a bit down. You are both so uplifting and it is these tapes that have given me the courage of my convictions to write what I am now writing . . . . John, I have been exposed to much channelling all over the world and what does not work for me is when it is ego-based, fear-based, control-based or claimed as being the "one and only'" channel for a particular Guide/Master. In my belief we all have the ability to channel specific aspects of specific energies and if one could only comprehend the magnitude of channelling and how we can only channel a minuscule aspect of an infinite Being (when of as high a vibration as Joseph), then we would realise that it is simply our "personal" intricately woven thread or bond with that energy that is ours and ours alone. So your words cannot ever be or sound "the same" as another channel's aspect of Joseph. This is because this Joseph is YOUR specific molecular, energetic, vibration of oneness with him, that NO ONE else can possibly share. I don't know if I am making myself clear, but I have studied this in depth because I have been badly . . . hurt in this kind of situation before. (That) is when I first connected with you–and it was your truth, your humility, your clarity and high vibration of joyfulness in your work without any ego–that actually gave me back my faith and trust in Spirit, John. I love you for what you have brought to me, and admire your innate ability to rationalize, always without judgement, others’ criticism. I am very proud of you and thank you (for volunteering) to come here to do this uplifting work. These reactions can only strengthen you because you see why you are doing it. I would be grateful to these people too. I think that if everything is energy and united in the universe, spirit guides are also part of us. We are in all the dimensions at the same time. If a person can channel it is because he is able to connect with these other parts/dimensions/souls. In your case I consider Joseph also as a part of you. It has to do with tuning in into a particular vibration. If I can tune in on you or Joseph then I am connected too. It all has to do with frequency. ********************** John, I appreciate the information that you and Chief Joseph present. As has been said many times, "Accept only what rings true to you, and let the remainder go." For certainly, the path of each individual is unique and all paths lead eventually to the Oneness. I very much appreciate the input you provide. ********************** Hi John, I've been reading your newsletter ever since I discovered you several years ago. Interesting that the subject today was channeling. Along with your newsletter which I always enjoy, I also receive other newsletters that are channeled. Now channeling has been around for quite awhile. When I first started getting into metaphysical stuff, I was very much a skeptic (of channeling), especially . . . where the voice changes . . . . Anyway, to get to the point, it is hard to distinguish the fake from the authentic. If the info isn't hurting anyone, what does it matter? Lately I seem to be having flashes of intuition (and) I'm wondering where it’s coming from. I do believe we all have spirit guides, so I shall try my hand at channeling, if only for myself. I believe we all can do it if we open to it. In closing, I'd like to say, keep up the good work, you and Chief Joseph. ********************** I always am amazed when I receive something that taps into what I have been dealing with. I shouldn't be surprised because we are all part of the one but still, I do respond with awe when this happens. I think that what you described in your message is happening to many of us in one form or another. We are being confronted with the opportunity to look at where we hold ourselves separate. "My way is the only way" is one of the most common forms of separation; and when we add to that "and I will force you to conform to my way" then we have the seed to many of the challenges that we find on the planet today. Joseph might use different words with you than he would use with another because you are a different person. The question becomes "Is the love that is present in the messages the same?" That is what is important. The rest is an illusion. ********************** Dear John, I appreciated your newsletter today, as always! Thank you. Prior to reading it, I got an answer to a question during my prayer time that seemed to prepare me for the newsletter. During my prayers I was receiving very loving and positive input for the day on the inner planes. One of the messages to me was that (Spirit) speaks to each one of us in a language that is unique to us alone–that there were as many languages as there are beings. When I read the newsletter I understood why I was being told that. Another wonderful message it gave me was that everything is a win-win situation at this point. Everything is contributing to growth spiritually. Thanks for sharing your message this week. I always learn something. ********************** Dear John, I just read your latest newsletter regarding the letter from the Nez Perce person who says she has CJ as a spirit guide. Well, I have to agree with you. CJ's material (as we receive it from you) is so warm-hearted and uplifting, I can't imagine anyone squawking for any reason. If they do, I agree with your attitude to live and let live. This woman probably has the concept that CJ can only talk about "Indian affairs" and only to "Indians," not humanity in general. Oh, well . . . . I'm sure CJ will have plenty to say on that subject, but really, it is just common sense . . . . Thank you for your work ********************** Dearest John, I have been a member of your newsletter for almost 2 years. I have always gained much strength and compassion for the world through your "Chief Joseph" insights. As for this Nez Perce woman–who claims she is the only true channel for Chief Joseph–this is merely spiritual pride . . . we all in the lightworker field know that someone who claims to be the one and only is NOT. She is the one who is channeling her own thoughts. And I agree with you to just ignore (her) and bless the lesson here. Dark spirits always want to stop the flow of love and joy imparted to the world through wonderful generous spirit channelers like yourself . . . . Thank you once again for all the advice from Joseph . . . . ********************** Dearest Joseph & John, I just want to reiterate your feelings (or truths) about what you and Chief Joseph are all about. And I want to say again and again, thank you both for the love and joy and help you have bought me through your newsletters. I have nothing but love and praise for you both. ********************** Hi John, I've been reading your Chief Joseph stuff on and off, and I quite like it. It feels similar to Abe too. ("Abe" is Abraham, a group of spirits channeled by Esther Hicks). So thanx, I much appreciate it. But somehow I feel like I wanted to say few words about those folks giving you (the) dickens. Like that lady saying her Chief Joseph is not like yours. I agree with you about not pushing against–still . . . I'd respond . . . to her something like: "Yes our Chief Josephs are different and I like it that way. The reason why they are different is why we are all different. That is, there is an endless number of probable versions of everyone, in this life or afterlife, and we can only tap into those . . . we are in emotional harmony with . . . . And such is the nature of All That Is." Maybe something like that would help her to shift at least a tiny bit, and away from the good/bad dichotomy, that is obviously coming from not trusting the goodness of her own being and (not trusting) that what feels good is good. Hmm . . . and what would I say to that guy questioning dead people talking? I think I'd say something like "All of us physical here are as dead already now, in those terms, as we will ever be. In other words, our consciousness is basically not dependent on the physical body to exist and is continuously immersed in those realms where dreams happen and the so-called dead find their home . . . . And on the other hand, we here are basically not limited either, except for what we believe our abilities to be. So we are free to pick and tune to other physical or nonphysical channels, (just) as we are free to switch channels on the TV set." Anyway, if you read this far, thanx for being an audience to my mind's play . . . . greetings and the happiest feelings to you and your Chief Joseph.
Ram ********************** Chief Joseph, as we all are, is part of the Creator's energy and Spirit. In theory, Chief Joseph is available to all of us–seems like we get lost in the sauce when we have folks squabbling over whose Chief Joseph is real or what he would say. They are all words from the Creator–Chief Joseph and other spirit guides and helpers are just channels for the Creator Source, as are we! ********************** Hey John, I think it is about time we share our own thoughts without somehow "depending" on channeling. It is great to communicate with (other) beings no matter where they are and which life form they have–and it is great to communicate with and through me. In a way you are already doing that. What you share is your experiences and your communications with others about the experiences. (But) the accent, the attention is still also on what the chief has to say. Let’s keep on talking more and more with our Selves–and share that. Mmmm–well I hope it is clear what I say–no judging meant–love your sharing. ********************** Dear John, It seems the hardest part for most people to allow is diversity of opinion/beliefs. From my perspective, everything in this Universe is manifestation of the Creator. Everything is unique and has a consciousness of its own, down to the atoms in my keyboard. I enjoy becoming aware of others’ beliefs for it shows me the vastness of the Creator. It helps me realize that we are all One, for I find parts of myself in everything and everyone. Even those I might not necessarily resonate with. Help me be compassionate. Keep shining your Light, John. All Paths Light the Way Home.
