John Cali

The other day my car needed some minor maintenance. So I went to see Joe, my trusty mechanic. He runs a small car repair shop in my little town, and has a well deserved reputation as a skilled and honest workman.

As Joe popped the hood of my car to look at the engine, he looked directly at me and said, "You know, John, I just had a heart attack a few days ago." He’s relatively young and in reasonably good shape. So it shocked me, and I exclaimed, "You’re too young for that!" "It’s genetics," Joe said. "It runs in the family."

Joe’s words had an eerily familiar ring to them.

A bit later, as I drove home, I mulled over our conversation. It carried me back to another time long ago, in a place far away.

When I was growing up, one of my favorite relatives was Uncle John, my father’s sister’s husband. He was a dear man, always kind to us little kids in the family.

Uncle John died of a heart attack at the age of 55.

Another of my favorite relatives was my cousin George, Uncle John’s son. George was much older than me, but we were very close and spent many happy hours together over the years.

George told me more than once he was convinced he was going to die as his father had. "It runs in the family," he said.

On July 25, 1972, George died of a heart attack at the age of 55, the exact age at which his father had died.

It’s eerie sometimes how we create our own realities. George had his own death warrant "signed, sealed, and delivered" years before it came to pass.

We are all such powerful creators, we always manifest what we predominantly focus on. George didn’t want to die of a heart attack at 55. But he did.

Why?

Because he believed "it runs in the family." It had to happen, and so it did.

Here’s Chief Joseph.

Chief Joseph

You’ve heard us say this many times over the years: Nothing is predestined. Nothing!

Predestination -- fate -- whatever you wish to label it -- has no role in this Universe you inhabit. This Universe is one of free-flowing energy, where one moment slips easily into the next, and the next, and the next . . . .

If you could see the utterly perfect and perfectly coordinated energy flow that courses through your bodies, your lives, your planet, you would never again question whether all is well or not. All is well -- always and forever.

If you could see that, you would find yourselves feeling more and more peaceful and powerful each day of your lives. You would come to a deep knowing, within your hearts, that you are loved, you are valuable, you are worthy.

You would never again doubt yourselves, the power within you, or the Universe’s absolute and perfect flow.

You would know nothing is preordained -- whether "it runs in the family" or not.

Friends, you are not doomed to experience (fill in here whatever disaster you like). You are not doomed to repeat whatever experiences your family, or any others, have had.

Your "genetics" -- your bodies -- do not condemn you to poverty, to illness, to death. Or whatever.

The only thing that "condemns" you is your own thoughts. And those thoughts, which you are totally free to choose, determine the way you flow energy through your bodies, through your relationships, through your lives.

All is well, friends. You live in a Universe of absolute abundance, of well-being. And if you experience anything other than abundance and well-being, it has nothing to do with it running in your family. It has everything to do with whether you accept and allow all the goodness the Universe has to bestow upon you.

You are loved, you are worthy, you are cared for. You are eternal. And that eternal energy of goodness and abundance flows through you every moment of your lives.

All you have to do is simply go with that flow. And that surely means you must ignore the experiences others have chosen to create. They create their experiences, and your create yours.

You have a choice here -- focus on what you want or focus on what you do not want.

It is your choice, and only yours. Why not create what you truly want?

Since 1992, John Cali has been communicating with a non-physical entity called Joseph. In one of his many physical lifetimes, this spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe in what is now the state of Oregon in the northwestern USA. These messages are a blend of information from Joseph, other spirits in the "Joseph group," and John.

John can be reached by email here or through their website
