A Laughing Matter
As anyone who’s raised a child or been
around children knows, kids laugh a lot. Far more than adults.
John Cali
A statistic I saw recently said adults laugh an average of 15
times a day. Children laugh 400 times a day. That’s not a typo --
kids laugh four hundred times a day! Life is still fun for
them.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been around little children.
But a recent letter from a dear friend of many years back in
Virginia reminded me of the days when my son was growing up. He
loved to laugh and play. He took his mother and me on many joyful
journeys back into our own childhood days.
My Virginia friend said when she’s visiting with her
granddaughter, the two of them find funny stuff all around them, and
they laugh a lot. As she put it so perfectly, "Laughing makes
me feel good about myself."
The medical community is giving serious consideration to laughter
as a powerful healing tool. Perhaps the most famous case of laughter’s
healing power is the 1979 book Anatomy of an Illness by
Norman Cousins, editor of the Saturday Review. He said
laughter helped heal him from a potentially fatal disease.
As my friend said, laughing just plain helps us feel good about
ourselves.
Here’s Chief Joseph.
Chief Joseph
This sounds so simple, but feeling good is the "secret"
to all you wish for. Especially feeling good about yourselves.
Feeling good is the key to abundance, healthy relationships,
healthy bodies, and all else you’ve ever dreamed of having in your
lives.
It’s all a matter of vibration, friends. When you are feeling
good you’re vibrating at a high level. You are living in the
frequency your higher selves live in all the time. You are literally
moving into a higher dimension, an alternate reality -- a reality
where all things are possible. Even what you call miracles.
As we said, it sounds so simple. People have often asked us,
"Joseph, it can’t be that easy! Is just feeling good going to
help me create the life of my dreams?"
The answer is "Absolutely yes!" Feeling good is the key
to the life of your dreams.
However, if you pay too much attention to what’s going on in
your world today, especially all the "bad" news in your
mainstream news media, you’ll get depressed.
Focus instead on all the "good" news out there. There’s
far more of that than the bad. But you have to do a little digging
to find it. You won’t see much of it in your mainstream news
media.
The "bottom line" here today, friends, is this:
Do whatever it takes to make yourselves feel good. Period! Make
that the guiding light of your lives.
Laughing is one powerful way to feel good. There are also many
others. But laughing is one of the best and most effective. Best of
all, it’s freely available to you at any moment you choose.
Make your life a laughing matter. Then you will soar.
