Drop Your Blocks
One cold autumn day many years ago my old
friend Joe and I were towing his antique truck from its storage
place back to his house.

The truck's suspension system was in pretty bad shape. So we tied
several concrete blocks to the front bumper, thinking that would
stabilize the truck while we towed it.
About halfway to Joe's house we noticed the truck suddenly became
lighter and easier to tow, creating less resistance to the tow
vehicle we were using.
When we got home we saw the concrete blocks had fallen off
somewhere along the way. Obviously, that was the reason the truck
became easier to tow.
It became a standing private joke between Joe and me for many
years. Whenever either of us ran up against a problem, we'd remind
each other to "Drop your blocks." Meaning, when you quit resisting,
life just gets easier and things simply flow better.
Do you have any blocks you need to drop?
Here's Chief Joseph.

The biggest challenge most humans face in their lifetimes is
their resistance to what they do not want. And yet resistance only
brings more of what you do not want.
There are two principles -- or laws, if you like -- at work here.
The first is what many of you call the Law of Attraction. Simply
said, the Law of Attraction, dictates you will always get more of
what you put your focus on. Always. No exceptions.
If you are focusing on something through your resistance to it,
you'll get more of it. And if you're focusing on something through
your appreciation of it, you'll get more of it. You get what you
focus on. Period.
The second principle is simply allowing all others to be whatever
they choose to be. Whether you agree with it or not. You will find
great peace and joy, friends, in simply following your own bliss,
and ignoring what others are doing.
Resist what others are doing and you'll end up frustrated and
drained. Allow others what they are doing and concentrate on what
you are doing, and you'll end up joyful and energized.
Money is not the root of all "evil." Resistance is.
Resistance is the cause of not only physical illness, but also
wars, poverty, epidemics, and all the other ills you want to banish
from your planet.
The root of resistance is fear. When you have a society, or an
entire world, living in fear, and the resulting pain that fear
produces, you're going to have lots of resistance.
No one has a monopoly on resistance. You find it not just in
individual humans, but even "institutionalized," if you will, in
governments, nations, religions, schools, and so on.
The fact you can wage war, condemn others of different races or
religions, commit horrible crimes against one another is positive
proof of fear running rampant in your society. These things would be
eliminated if you gave up your resistance.
If you could erase resistance from the face of your planet, all
the ills of your society would vanish in a heartbeat.
As more and more of you follow the path of non-resistance, you’ll
find your lives becoming far more peaceful, abundant, and joyful.
You can create what you call peace on earth only by starting with
yourself. That's where it all begins and ends -- with you.
