year-2016-in-review

For our first post of 2017, my spirit guides and I thought it would be fun to go back to 2016 and review the 10 posts you, our readers, liked the best. Without further ado, here they are (in no particular order):

  • Defying Death
A couple weeks ago, a 9-year-old boy was accidentally shot and killed in Montana, not far from where I live. To all appearances, it was certainly a tragically sad and premature death.
  • Those Who Serve in Silence
A close friend came to us a while back, wondering why he was on earth, and what difference he was making, if any.
  • I’ll Meet You on the Far Shore
Folks often ask my spirit guides about relationships. Arguably, relationships are the most challenging aspect of our human lives.
  • Do You Know Where You’ll Go When You Die?
A few weeks ago someone asked me, “Do you know where you’ll go when you die?” My answer: “Yes.”
  • January 2016 Prayers for Peace
There are 12 classical world religions. Each of them has its own prayer for peace, despite the fact there have been “religious wars” for centuries.
  • When You Need Help Always Go Directly To the Top
Do not be afraid to ask for help when you need it, even if you have to go all the way to “the top.”
  • What’s Your New Year’s Resolution?
According to a survey by the Australian company, finder.com, the most common reason people fail to keep new year’s resolutions is setting unrealistic goals.
  • The Feeling of Peace
Peace is the highest vibration most of us will experience in this lifetime. Peace is all about our focus. What do you focus on in your daily life?
  • Why Is the World So Screwed Up?
A while back a close personal friend came to me with a few questions he was struggling over. He asked if Spirit had any words of comfort.
  • Beyond the Veil of Death
You may remember David Thomas and Matt Klinck, the filmmakers of Tuning In: Spirit Channelers in America. David recently told me about Matt’s seemingly untimely death.

I just realized, as I’m writing this post, 3 of these 10 articles you liked best deal with death. Don’t ask me why that is, but I find it interesting, don’t you?

Here’s a great way to start the new year. Enjoy this beautiful rendition of Auld Lang Syne, written in 1788 by one of my favorite writers, Scotland’s own Robert Burns, the Bard of Ayrshire.

Yes, dear John, I was interested in reviewing the 10 posts. I am interested in death. I’m ready to meet my angels in their arena. The most important issue for me around death is how it happens. I don’t want the circumstances of my death to also injure others nor to involve me in an agonizing process. I pray that my friends, such as you, John, and relatives have the same benefits in their deaths. Thank you for this opportunity to express my feelings about death. Love, George

Thanks very much, George. Even in this era of more openness about death, I still find many people reluctant to talk about it. So I really appreciate your willingness and your openness. My own perspective of death has shifted dramatically over the years.

Whenever death is discussed, I always think about a quotation I love from A Course in Miracles:
“I am not a body, I am free, for I am still as God created me.”

I know that can be a hard concept for anyone who may not be on a spiritual path. But it’s brought me much comfort and clarity.

      Love, John

Thanks John. I understand that when I die, I’ll join my beloved Father with whom I had a trip to Europe after his divorce. Love, George
