As 2018 draws to a close, I thought we’d review some of the year’s most uplifting blog posts. These are not necessarily the ones getting the most traffic, but those you, our readers, told me you found most uplifting.

1.  Angels In Our Midst

Have you ever met a friendly stranger, only to later realize that person simply did not exist? I did, about a year ago. We all probably have such experiences, sometimes without being aware of them.

2.  The Voice of an Angel

Spirit:
“The reason most of you do not hear the angels, or experience them, is not because you don’t believe in them. It’s because you let the noise and the noisiness of your world drown out the voices from heaven….”

3.  Is It a Rope or a Snake?

Spirit:
“Think about a person you dislike, or who you believe dislikes you. In your dislike, or perhaps something even stronger, are you really seeing them as they are? Most likely not.”

4.  The Power of Silence

Here’s what Buddha has to say about silence:
“Silence is an empty space. Space is the home of the awakened mind.”

5.  Celebrating Diversity and Embracing Oneness

Spirit:
When you are being yourself, you will realize you are all one—you embrace your oneness. And you celebrate your diversity.”

6.  The Agony of Anxiety and Depression

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), nearly 40 million adults in the United States, suffer from anxiety and depression.

7.  You and God Have an Eternal Connection

“Think of yourself as an incandescent power, illuminated and perhaps forever talked to by God and his messengers.” ~ Brenda Ueland, American journalist and writer

8.  God Is a Big Illusion We Made Up

“I believe in God, only I spell it Nature.” ~ Frank Lloyd Wright, American architect and writer

9.  8 Kindness Lessons I Learned at the Shoe Repair Shop

Finally, here are some words of wisdom from Carl Jung:
“An understanding heart is everything in a teacher, and cannot be esteemed highly enough.”
