The Land of No-Time by John Cali and Spirit

To fly as fast as thought, to anywhere that is, you must begin by knowing that you have already arrived.

Many years ago I had an unforgettable experience of being completely beyond time.

I’d left my house for a destination 10 miles away. I happened to check my car’s clock at the moment I started out. I was driving at the speed limit.

When I got where I was going, I checked the car clock again. Only 6 minutes had passed. Finding that hard to believe, I checked another clock at my destination to verify my car’s clock was accurate. It was.

If you do that math on that, I would have had to be travelling about 100 miles per hour. That was far beyond the speed limit. And I’ve never driven that fast in my life.

So what happened?

Linear time is a convenient invention you’ve created to help you make sense of your physical experience in a human body.

Only humans live in linear time. Animals do not, unless you’ve “domesticated” them to see physical life as you do.

From our perspective all time—past, present, and future—is simultaneous. But you do not normally experience it that way.

However, when you move out of your “normal” waking consciousness—as John did that day long ago—two things can happen. Either linear time no longer exists. Or, as in John’s case, it gets distorted.

You are not your human bodies or minds. Your bodies and minds are simply perceptions you have created. They do not exist except in your perception of them. All that exists is you, your consciousness.

You all live in the land of no-time. Get used to it. And, above all, have fun with it! You are all far, far more than you imagine yourselves to be. You are pure consciousness, independent of time and space.

This video is from A Course in Miracles class taught by David Hoffmeister. I’m pretty sure the subject, simultaneous time, will be unsettling for some folks. But listen to it through the end—it’s only 5 minutes. You’ll gain a new perspective on the illusion of linear time.

Funny thing. I’m editing a video, playing with different timelines on my computer. I’m listening to Abraham-Hicks, a video in which they were saying “in our non physical world, no clocks no calendars, there is no time, only now, rendez-vouing in the now…”, and then I switched suddenly to my inbox, boom, John Cali’s email gets in, titled “the land of no-time”. I’m feeling “lucky” today. Thanks John and spirits for winking at me all the time, all the “now”.

      Thanks very much, Alex.

Yes, this is your “lucky” day. 🙂 There are no coincidences, are there?

Thanks very much for your support!

I’ve had a very similar experience when I was much younger on a road trip. The incident happened between Huston, TX an New Orleans. I do not know exactly how far it is from one to the other, but I know its further than fifteen minutes. Yet, that is how long it felt to me. I have many experiences like this when I drive or walk long distances. I kinda go into a fog, auto pilot, and the next thing I know. I’m there.

Thank you, Damian, for sharing your experience. It’s always fascinating to me how these experiences happen.

Aha — I just returned from taking a ride to find a place I’ve never been before and have an appointment at tomorrow so I could see how long it might take! Gets funnier all the time!!!

    Love and blessings,

Thanks, John, for putting David’s name out. I took the opportunity to look at some of his other video’s — he certainly is a very powerful teacher!

        Love and blessings, as always…
