The title of our post today comes courtesy of our dear friend Jeannie Horn in Canada. Last week she sent me this beautiful piece, Looking Through Love’s Eyes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did—it will give you a new, more loving perspective of yourself.

Looking Through Love’s Eyes

Looking through Love’s Eyes we are getting to know our Inner Self, the Watcher who waits, who is so patient, so loving that It allows us free will to be who we need to be.  Love’s Eyes is that Being, so full of love and joy in each of us.  It waits patiently for us to look within and find that Self looking back.  It waits for us to understand and to acknowledge we are more than this person others see, for we are entwined with this Wonderful Being by more than blood, bone or sinew.

Spirit

As our friend Jeannie said, in different words, you are God.

God is all that is. God is your family. God is your friends. God is your enemies. God is your pets. God is the animals of the world. God is the plants growing in your garden. God is the food you eat. God is the clothes you wear. God is the country you live in. God is the countries you are at war with. God is the mountains, the hills, the valleys, the deserts, the oceans. God is the sun, the moon, the stars.

God is all that is. You are all God. You are all that is. You are one with the universe.

If you acknowledge the truth of that, you must have reverence for all life—your own and those of other human beings. And all other animal beings. All plant beings. And your Mother Earth and the planets, stars, galaxies surrounding your beloved Mother. Even so-called “inanimate” objects have their roots and their sacred beginnings in God.

Nothing is evil. All is good. While we understand that perceived need to label things “evil” and “good,” we also say it has led to many problems among humans. This narrow view of God has led to the forming of religions, creeds, cults. It has even led to diverse, opposing groups within what you call “new age” spirituality.

Most of all that divides you. It does not unite you as humans and as fellow residents with the creatures of the natural world of your planet. That’s not who God is.

God is all that is. Always be aware of the divinity within you. Have reverence for all life. Then you will see only through love’s eyes.

I was reminded in a channeling a few weeks ago when I mention ‘seeing through the eyes of Jesus’, that I needed to add ‘the Christ’, for Jesus did not always see ‘through the eyes of love’ – he too had his challenges and limited beliefs growing up. And what a wonderful image that gave me for it showed me that we all can achieve Jeshua’s level of awareness – though maybe at a slower pace.

Thanks very much, Joseph. May the day come soon when we will all achieve that level of awareness!

    Hi John,

We know this when we are born and for the first few years of our life and then, depending on our surroundings and environment things seem to change, but then as we get older we then start seeing things the way they should be and our belief in our self gets stronger and we appreciate life and all that is around us. That is how it happened for me.

Love this news letter John, thank you.

    Love and hugs to you,
    Micki

Thanks very much, Micki. That’s how it happened for me too — and, I suspect, for many others.

      Love and hugs,
      John

For me, I had to see the divinity within me first, which took many years. I always looked outside at a god that I hoped had a sense of humor, like I do, hahaha. Once I realized that I am the expression of god and I created my own reality, then the next ‘aha’ was that we are all god expressing as the ‘many’ from the oneness. That really helped me release the false burden of being responsible for my children, spouse, nonbelievers, etc. When they see you happy, they want to know the secret.

So, with that major release of trying to fix everything, which still took awhile and going through the dark night of the soul, I am finally sinking into my own divine nature and enjoying the fun of life.

It is simplicity, but, not easy. 😉

    Love to all,
    Jerry

      Thank you very much, Jerry.

It took me many years also to figure this out. We were never taught God was within us. In fact, just the opposite — were taught the devil was in us. 🙂

      Love, John
