Re-framing the Resurrection

Either all things die, or else they live and cannot die. No compromise is possible.

                                                                                                                  A Course in Miracles

As most of you know, Christian churches celebrated Easter last Sunday. This was always a big celebration in my Italian immigrant family. But you don’t have to be Christian to celebrate the resurrection, the miracle of Easter. For me, the lesson and miracle of Easter is we never die—life is eternal.

Spirit

Some of your spiritual traditions celebrate Easter as a time of resurrection, rebirth. But every day, not just Easter Sunday, is a day of rebirth. You can even be reborn every time you take a new breath.

This is a time of change, of rebirth, of resurrection on your planet. Despite the seemingly traumatic and tragic events so obvious to all of you, a huge reawakening is happening right under your noses, as you say.

Time, as you have known it, is shifting, contracting and expanding in seemingly mysterious ways. Many are experiencing unusual symptoms and feelings in your physical bodies, often in the form of apparent illness. You are experiencing dramatic, often difficult shifts in other areas of your lives—your relationships, your work, everything you hold near and dear.

Many changes are afoot. Allow yourselves to flow with the changes with total acceptance. This is truly the dawn of a new age. Nothing will ever be the same again.

Your resurrection is at hand.

Actually, your own personal resurrection has already happened. As one of Johnny’s favorite A Course in Miracles passages says, you are still as God created you. That means you are pure, unsullied and perfect just as you are right now.

So we’d like to re-frame the resurrection here. It is not what many of your spiritual traditions teach. It is who you are right here, right now.

Yes, thank you, John. I agree for our highest good. Something bigger going on than can ever be imagined, no doubt, and we’re all a part of it. I hope I’m still around to see the outcome of some of the highest good. I can only imagine it will be miraculous . . . just like the resurrection.

You’re most welcome, Pat. I too think the outcome of all the hyperactivity on the planet will be miraculous, as was/is the resurrection. Happy Easter!

Great piece John and so true. There are amazing things happening in us, around us and through us. We all are playing our part and it is unsettling but it feels so good at a level that we are not always aware of. It is this sudden joyful feeling that rises within us and it feels so perfect. So yes we are reborn every moment just latch on to that so wonderful feeling and go with it. Even now as I write this message to you something is rising, something beautiful , an awakening. wow! It simply feels great, just let go and simply feel the depth within.

    love and hugs always

Thanks very much, Jeannie! Life certainly does feel unsettling at times. But, as you said, there’s also that undercurrent of joy. It’s the divine energy within us all. Nothing can defeat that power.

Love and hugs to you, dear,
      John

Thank you, John, and may you have a blessed Easter celebration. I’m feeling like what Spirit said in transition with a lot of shifts and changes going on. I appreciate the message of what’s happening in our personal lives and in the world. It’s a comfort to understand it a little and that it’s something bigger than what I can see.

You’re most welcome, Pat. You have a blessed and happy Easter too!

I also found comfort in Spirit’s words. This is certainly an interesting time on our planet. But I’m confident everything that’s happening is for the highest good of us all.
