Spirit’s Friday Frolics for June 29, 2012 by John Cali

This is our second edition of Spirit’s Friday Frolics, a weekly blog post published every Friday.

As we all know, laughing and having fun are good for us. Spirit has talked about this many times. Here are a few snippets:

Laughing is one of the most powerful ways to feel good, and to heal. Best of all, it’s freely available to you at any moment you choose. Make your life a laughing matter. Then you will soar.

Your life is supposed to be fun. If life is not fun, if you rarely laugh, if you cannot find humor in ordinary, or even challenging, circumstances, you’ve forgotten who you are. Learn to be like little children. Learn to laugh and play and have fun. It’s never too late to become childlike again.

We suggest you set aside some time every day just to laugh and have fun. Do whatever it takes — watch a funny movie, read a comedy, be with people who laugh a lot. You get the idea. The benefits of just that short time every day will be immense. Not only will you feel better, but your body will be healthier, your relationships will be healthier.

Have fun. Laugh. Play. Life is too important to take it so seriously. It’s not serious. It’s supposed to be fun.

This week’s edition of Spirit’s Friday Frolics is a short funny video about spoon-bending.

Thank you John, it is very funny.

Most people have probably already seen the following video of talking twins, and the subtitles can be a bit strong at times. But I can’t stop laughing every time I see it. 🙂 Here is the link:

Great topic! What I found to be most helpful for me in all aspects of life is to laugh first and loudest at myself. There are just so many silly little things (some people call them mistakes or errors) that happen throughout any day that I just have to laugh.

You know when you accidently spill your full glass of iced tea all over yourself. . instead of letting it be frustrating or embarrassing or a reason for self chastizement, I LAUGH out loud!

Things like that happen throughout my days, some days more than others and I just embrace them and laugh. If others are around they all seem to laugh with me. It is great! I accept that I do odd, silly, unexpected things rather often and viewing them as just plain fun has been the perfect response for me.

There is a lot of laughter here in Middle of Nowhere Wyoming!

    Hugs, smiles, laughs and Blessings

Thanks very much, Shirl, for your wonderfully warm and light comments! As Spirit said, let’s make our lives laughing matters. 🙂

I agree with you– there’s a lot of laughter in this beautiful land of Nowhere, Wyoming where you and I are so blessed to live.

      Lots of love and hugs,
      John
