The Spiritual Power of Pets

posted in: Blog, channeling, relationships | 6

The more we learn of the true nature of non-human animals, especially those with complex brains and corresponding social behavior, the more ethical concerns are raised regarding their use in the service of man—whether this be in entertainment, as “pets,” for food, in research laboratories, or any of the other uses to which we subject them. ~ Jane Goodall

Today we’re doing something a bit different. I hope you enjoy it.

The following is an excerpt from a book by the late Reverend Diane K. Chapin.

Pets come in with the singular purpose of displaying spirituality for you in its highest form. That is, they live in the moment, they provide unconditional love, they honor themselves and you at all times.

Pets live connected to other souls rather than in a disconnected state as so many human entities do. They are literally lights of Spirit on earth and that is how they should be viewed by you. They are illuminated to the fullest of their capability, which is truly what spirituality is about—to be illuminated to the fullest of their capability—of your capability. In other words, they honor Spirit at all times.

…those animals who come into your life for a lengthy period of time are literally vibrationally attuned to you. They come in on a wave of upliftment and grace into your very home to bring you an aspect of love and contentment that you may be lacking in other areas of your life. This is why these beings come into your life.

This is how you should be serving one another: with unconditional love, with unquestioned reverence for the divinity of one another. This is what they see and this is what their message is to you: that they will love you unconditionally until their deaths, but that, so too, should you love one another unconditionally and see the Spirit of divinity that is behind the eyes of all souls….The pet sees through ego, personality and selfishness to that which is the essence of all beings.

One of the best things in my life has been my relationships with my pets over the years. They have taught me so many things and they give us love without judging just simply, they love us. My Ruby follows me around making comments all the time. When I leave the house no matter where she was when I left, she is at the door when I return. She loves to play, she loves to get chased so she can it around and chase me. She makes me laugh. Life would be very boring without her. I think we learn how to love better when we are owned by our pet.

Thanks very much, Jeannie. Sounds like your life has been greatly blessed by your pets. They are divine gifts to us humans.

      Love and hugs,

I am so blessed to have 4 cats, oldest one is Red a Ginger tabby, lovely and sweet. Second oldest is Gussie, Gussie is very territorial and will not allow other people or animals to get near me, she is possisive and protective of me, follows me every where. Then my two rescue kittens Mercury and Jupiter (brother and sister) are huge in size, larger than all the others and so very playful, they are like bulls in a china shop….breaking nick nacks …..I have to laugh as most items I had used museum putty to “glue” my items down. Yet like my granddaughters break items by accident, cats do to. Cats are full of joy, love, contentment, and with Gussie, fear or resentment of younger cats in home. She is a bit jealous and wants me personally 24/7. Gussie will bond with Red, and sometimes tolerates Mercury….I balance the attention and love to each one….making sure each is given love, play, and time with me and learning how to further bond and play with each other. These pets, my beloved pets are worth more than any item I own, they are my “children”….after my grown daughter moved on to have a family. My cats are wise, aware, and totally my dearest family sharing my life. Pure comfort, unconditional love, this makes for a joyful life for me and kitties being a family of love….content to be, living in the moment full of happiness. My cats talk to me by rubbing their head to my head, very happy, and when their tails go up they are excited and extremely happy. I Love love, love my kitties, they are my life! The heart beat of happiness.

Thanks very much, Karen for sharing so beautifully about your 4 cats. They sound absolutely delightful. As you say, these beautiful creatures bring so much comfort, joy, and unconditional love into our lives. We can all use a lot more of all that!

It’s a too rare occurrence that I laugh aloud when I’m sitting alone, but Party Cat brought me. Great message powered by the spirit of John Cali. What could be better?
