Time and Disease by John Cali

John Cali

Spirit often gives me spontaneous messages, even when I have not intended to channel. Typically those messages are very short, and usually only for my personal benefit, not for the public.

However, Spirit obviously did not intend this message, given me in the pre-dawn darkness of a cold Sunday morning, only for my personal benefit.

Here’s Spirit.

Spirit

Linear time does not exist in the nonphysical world of Spirit. Neither God nor the angels experience time.

Therefore, they see neither cause nor effect. There is no cause or effect. There is only experience.

Humans need the concept of linear time to navigate the physical world. But beyond that time has no reality.

So what humans perceive as cause and effect is simply a matter of focus — what they are focusing on is what they will experience. While cause and effect may appear real to human eyes, it is not. It is simply each human creating his or her experience by what they focus on.

As many, including us, have said, you get what you focus on, or think about, most of your waking hours.

So what does all this mean in the context of disease or illness?

Well, if there is no cause, no effect, then what is perceived as cause and what is perceived as effect are simply a matter of where you are focusing, and what you are choosing to experience.

If you have a disease, no matter how minor or major, you can heal yourself simply by removing your focus from the condition.

However, for that to be effective, you have to let go of the old notion of cause and effect. Your disease has no cause, except for the attention you’ve given it.

When you’ve removed your attention from it and placed your attention on health and wellness, the disease will vanish and you will experience health and wellness.

This does not have to take a long time, although it may. It can be instantaneous because, remember, in the world of Spirit, there is no time.

The disease you wish to be free from, and the health you wish to experience, both exist now, in this present moment. The present moment is the only “unit of time,” if you will, that matters. Everything that has ever existed or will ever exist, exists now.

So you can have either disease or health. Both are literally at your fingertips. Focus only on what you want. Think about only what you want. The choice is yours.

But the choice for health is much easier to make when you stay aligned with your higher selves, your spirit selves. Then you will make all your choices from the timeless perspective of Spirit.

After I transcribed and read Spirit’s words, I realized the message could be controversial, with folks responding positively and negatively. And I realized there’s more to say on this topic than we’ve said here today. So I’d be very interested in your thoughts. Please comment below.

Rado, so kind of you to reply. And thank you for the site and additional info.
After having engaged in many “alternative” paths to healing over the past nearly 20 years, I am a bit reluctant to dive into yet another “method.” So often I have jumped in with both feet, as it were, with the expectation of grand success like that acheived by those who have tried them. After putting years of time in a few, less than that in others, only to fail again and again … I am reluctant to put my energies into another.
John has known me for a long time and I think he would agree that I am a happy, glass half full, fun loving soul.

In the moment, I am, though I hate to admit it, afraid to devote time and energy to another process.

Any words of encouragement or hints at why, how, the method worked for you are most welcome. And know that I really appreciate your taking the time to share your experience.
    Blessings, Chris~

You describe yourself perfectly, Chris — “a happy, glass half full, fun loving soul.” 🙂

      Hugs,
      John

    Hi John
So simple and yet for us human doers, so difficult at the same time.
Letting go of the old notion of cause and effect is usually the sticky part as it is a cultural thing and beliefs run deep.
    Nice clear message though. 🙂
    Thanks John.

I’ve been meaning to ask about this. Now seems a good time. I “get” that what we focus on is what we create. And when I look back even just a few years, I’m pretty proud of my creations … well, most of them.
*However,* … you knew it was coming. When I wake up in the morning, I am in serious pain, often to the point of having to stifle crying out. Getting out of bed is a challenge in itself but even if I’m exhausted, I must. It’s the only way to calm the pain to a tolerable level. And if a migraine is part of the mix, I cannot allow my head to touch anything even something so soft as a pillow.
Every night before bed, I intend to wake up in joy and pain free.
So, when the pain is so “in your face” the following day, how does one focus on something good? I’m about to boo-hoo as I write this because each morning I fail at finding somewhere else to focus.

After about an hour or so, the pain is such that I am able to focus on lots of good stuff. I have four kitties so it’s easy.

    Bring on the advice!!!

Well, Chris, I don’t have any advice other than what Spirit has said over the years (plus what I’ve said to you privately).

Perhaps something Abraham once said is relevant here. They said whenever we feel physical pain, it always means, without exception, the cells in our bodies are asking Source for help. Then the healing is on its way, if we allow it to come. So I offer you that for whatever it may be worth to you.

Anybody else care to comment or reply to Chris?

      Hi Chris,

I’ve been suffering from migraine myself, so I know how terrible it can be, but today it’s over 20 years ago I’ve had even as much as a slight headache. So it’s absolutely possible to get completely rid of it. And of any other illness for that matter.

I could write a long story about how I’ve learned to heal myself from this and many other problems over the years, and give you some advice based on that, but instead I’ll refer you to a book I came across a few years ago and which basically teaches the same methods that I’m using. The author healed himself from terminal cancer back in 1975 (as a sideffect his sight became normal so he could also throw away his glasses) and he’s still alive and well today, and has been teaching others to heal themselves from all kind of things in all those years. Here’s a link to the book:

      http://www.amazon.com/Anything-Can-Healed-Martin-Brofman/dp/1844090167

You can also find his book about improving one’s vision and his healing CDs on the page.

There are also some videos and an MP3 interview with him, plus a link to his website, here:

      http://miscfiles.net/misc/brofman/index.html

The server can be a bit capricious sometimes so if the files break during download just try again, they’re OK.

BTW, one thing I’ve found quite effective as an acute pain reliever and healer is to focus your consciousness in the hara chakra (2-3 inches below the navel). The effect can be quite amazing sometimes.

      hope this helps,
      Rado

Have great appreciation for this message. Have been asking for clarification of this very issue and will need to go back and read these wonderful words several times more to gather further understanding. I know you experienced the passing of someone close to you last week and I found out about the passing of Jerry Hicks last week, too. I was affected much more that I had expected by his transition. I thought I had made peace with all being well no matter what his outcome. I guess not! If someone so joyful and practiced as Jerry could not focus himself back into wellness, how does that happen? He had often said that he wanted to live to be over one hundred. I totally know that we are eternal and that all is really well all of the time, but obviously I still have some more pondering to do here. Good thing I enjoy pondering!

Thank you, Wendy, for your kind words and for taking the time to comment.

I too have said I want to live to be 100, and that is still my intent. But I realize I could change my mind down the road. I don’t know for sure, but I think that’s possibly what happened with Jerry. But, as you said, we are eternal. If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my years of channelling, it’s that we’re all forever Spirit whether we happen to have a physical body or not at the moment.

JC, thanks for the shortest, clearest explanation I’ve ever come across for the power we have to create our own reality. Now if only my wife could grasp it as well as all the other folks who, sad to say, choose pain and illness instead of joy. It can be done, learning to choose joy. I plan to have it figured out soon (wait a mionute, I mean NOW). Sure have missed you (totally my own fault, since your incredible work shows up regularly in my e-mails).

Thanks very much, Lyle, for your very kind words. I’m glad we’re “back in the saddle again!” 🙂

  6. Pat

Great article and a fascinating video. Thanks very much. I guess that it all boils down to what we create.

  7. Pat

Great video and a great reading/article. I guess that it really does all boil down to what we create.

    • admin

Yes, indeed. As “old and tired” as that phrase is, we really do create our own realities.

  8. Kathelena

Thank you John, and thank you Spirit! Helpful and “timely” 😉 as always!

Thank you John and Spirit. The article made this issue clear for me.

You’re most welcome, Maggie. I’m delighted Spirit helped clarify the issue for you.

I agree with the concept, and have been feeling messages along those lines myself, but putting it into practice can be another thing. It’s not always easy to take your mind off of a perceived illness. Illnesses that are painful or interfere with your daily life, for example, are not that easy to ignore!

    • admin

I agree it can be challenging to practice the concept. But for me personally, the key is to simply keep doing it. Eventually it becomes easier and more natural, no matter what’s happening with our bodies or with the world around us.

      John
