What Is Love?

Love does not discriminate. Love does not separate. Love does not attack in any way. It is a peaceful extension of All That Is….Love is always there. That benevolent force is always there….”

Those words are excerpted from Tina Spalding’s book, Jesus: My Autobiography.

Spirit

“Love” is perhaps the most abused and misused word in the English language.

When you use the word (perhaps more than you consciously realize), do you know what you’re saying?

When you tell someone “I love you,” are you fully aware of the word’s true meaning?

In many cases, the honest answer to those two questions is “No.”

As the introduction to this post states, love is a “benevolent source.”

So it would behoove you to think about the true meaning of “love” before you use the word again.

Here are a few ideas you might consider:

  • Love is the most powerful force in the universe.
  • Love is what binds you together in oneness with all your brothers and sisters.
  • Love binds you together with all sentient beings.
  • Love binds you together with all life—trees, plants, flowers, insects, the birds of the air, the fishes of the seas.
  • Simply stated, love is all that is. Love is God, Goddess.
  • It’s that simple and that profound.

When I say love and hugs I am saying I love and honour the Spirit within you for it is within me also. I am also saying I love the person you are and respect you. I see you as me and me as you and we are One. I may seem glib but I am not.

We are all different aspects of The One.

Love is the sunbeam for it touches everything
Love is the wind even in it’s fiercest storm
Love is yes to who you are and respect of you

love and hugs to you John and to the Spirits within
    Jeannie
