John Cali
|
All men were made by the
same Great Spirit
Chief.
They are all brothers.
The Earth is the mother of all people, and all people
should have equal rights upon it.

Our Mission
Chief Joseph’s purpose is to remind us of
three things we already know, but may have forgotten:
-
While we are diverse in our human
individuality, we are all one in spirit.
-
We are all part of the Great Spirit --
we are the Great Spirit.
-
We all have divine potential -- we each
have unique talents to be used in the service of
humanity and the planet.
Our true life's purpose, in using our unique
talents, is to reconnect with our higher selves or souls.
And then we are best able to help our brothers and sisters
do the same, thus fully empowering them in their own
spiritual growth.
Chief Joseph’s mission is to simply remind
you who you are. When you are so filled with the glory and
divinity of who you are -- when you quite literally fall
"head-over-heels" in love with yourself, you will
easily handle all your life's issues and challenges. Your
personal and spiritual growth will soar.
You will clearly remember your purpose in
coming to this incarnation: To reconnect with your soul and
to experience joy in every aspect of your earthly life. It’s
all about loving and appreciating yourself, all others, and
all of life.
How It Started
On May 24, 1992, as the sun broke
through the misty silvery stillness of the California mountains, a familiar
figure appeared to me. He identified himself as Chief Joseph. He was familiar
because he'd been lingering on the periphery of my awareness for six years. But
I never knew who he was. Now I did.
In one of his many physical lifetimes,
this spirit was incarnated as the legendary Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce Tribe
in what is now the U.S. state of Oregon.
Chief Joseph lived from about 1840
until September 21, 1904. During the 1877 Nez Perce War and until his death,
Joseph was one of the tribe's prominent leaders. An eloquent speaker and
statesman, he was a strong advocate of American Indian rights, the equality of
all people, and deep reverence for our Mother Earth and all her inhabitants.
In May 1992, I was experiencing some
pretty hefty challenges in my personal and spiritual life. (Or, to use Joseph's
definition of challenges, opportunities for remembering who I am.) He offered to
help me. I said, "Sure, I can use all the help I can get!"
And so it began. Joseph and I continued
like that, one-on-one, for several years. We dealt mostly with my personal
issues.
Then, toward the end of 1995, Joseph
asked if I'd consider channeling for others, especially since it had been so
helpful to me. I said, "No, I don't think so." But one thing led to
another. And, ultimately, Joseph prevailed. So we started doing private
sessions.
When I first started communicating with
Joseph, I was a real novice at that sort of thing. And I was sometimes uneasy
when asked to channel him.
But as I became more comfortable in my
own abilities and in the abilities of Spirit, my powers of communication (or
channeling) became greater. And I was able to access the higher aspects of this
entity I'd known as Chief Joseph. I was able to reach into what you might call
the "Joseph soul group." A group of spirits who are clearly a highly
evolved and powerful family of teachers.
Today I've become a "point of
focus," for this evolved group we now call simply "Joseph." This
group certainly includes the wise being we know as Chief Joseph, but also other
spirit beings.
In 1996 we started publishing Sentinels
of the Sky Newsletter: Conversations With Chief Joseph and John Cali, now known
as the Chief Joseph Newsletter..
I can't say it was an easy journey in
the beginning. But it was fun and fulfilling, and it still is. More importantly,
though, this journey has brought many people (including me) closer to
remembering who we really are, and why we are here. It's helped us feel better
about being human. And it's helped us know we are spirit beings in human form,
and to rejoice in that knowing.
Organizations We Support
As many of you know, the historical
Chief Joseph was essentially homeless from 1877 until he died in 1904. The U.S.
Army violently ousted Joseph and his Nez Perce people from their ancestral home
in the beautiful Wallowa Valley of what is now Oregon. Neither he nor most of
his Nez Perce people were ever again allowed to return to their beloved
homeland.
And so we donate a percentage of our
profits to the Red Feather Development
Group. Red Feather is a national
nonprofit housing and community development organization dedicated to helping
the over-300,000 homeless Native Americans on reservations throughout the USA. Red Feather builds homes using environmentally sustainable and durable straw
bale construction. More importantly, Red Feather helps to uplift and empower
Native Americans.
We also donate a
percentage of our profits to other non-profit organizations who serve humanity,
including these of Neale Donald Walsch's organizations:
ReCreation Foundation
School of The New
Spirituality
We also support Optimist
International
We urge you to
support any of these organizations you feel drawn to. The
more of us willing to support and promote any organization
devoted to the welfare of our human sisters and brothers,
the better we make the world we all live in.
