John Cali
I’m sure many of you are thinking, “Well, Cali’s come up with another wacky title for a newsletter article!”
Can’t blame you for thinking that. But, as the cliché goes, there’s a method to my madness.
One morning last week I woke up with some congestion and pain in my upper right lung and back. I am almost never sick, and haven’t been to a medical doctor in years. I figure I can maintain my physical health better than anyone else. So this took me totally by surprise.
For the past 25 or 30 years, I’ve come to rely more on natural remedies for whatever ailed me, which was never very much. I’ve been disgustingly healthy almost all my adult life. And I’ve always disliked taking drugs or any other man-made concoction.
I’ve also come to rely more on the powerful healer within me than on anything or anyone outside myself. I am totally convinced my belief in my body’s ability to maintain itself in a state of perfect health has kept me robust and healthy for decades.
So, as I just mentioned, this bit of pain in my chest and back surprised me that morning last week.
“Doctor” Spirit “popped in” that morning and gave me a “prescription.” Red pepper and garlic. Spirit gave me the precise dosages and timing. It worked! By that afternoon, I was fine — the congestion and pain were gone. And they haven’t returned.
Spirit knows my belief in natural remedies and in my body’s ability to heal itself. And that’s the point of this week’s newsletter.
Spirit
Your human bodies are magnificent mechanisms. Most of you do not fully appreciate the abilities and powers of your bodies.
Your bodies’ natural state, and their natural inclination, are always that of perfect health. Perfect balance. Perfect equilibrium.
Anything less than that perfection is not your bodies’ doing — it is your doing.
If you could simply leave your bodies to their own devices, if you will, you would put your medical professionals out of business.
We are in no way criticizing or condemning the many good folks among you who are conventional healers. They are doing much good in your world. They are alleviating much pain, physical and emotional.
But there are limits to what any healer, conventional or not, can do. If you do not believe in the ability of your bodies to heal themselves, by themselves, then no healer can help you.
Healers — and drugs — and even so-called natural remedies — can heal you only through your belief. It is your belief that heals you.
The doctors, nurses, drugs, even red pepper and garlic, can heal you only if you believe in them. And if you believe in your bodies’ ability to restore themselves to perfect health.
No dis-ease or dis-order, no matter how advanced or “terminal,” is beyond healing. But the healing can come to you only through your belief in perfect health.
It does not matter if your belief is stimulated by the surgeon’s knife, by prescribed drugs, or by red pepper and garlic.
It is always your belief — and only that — which heals you. No exceptions.
