Snakes and Synchronicities by John Cali

In last week’s newsletter and in the previous week’s newsletter, we talked about manifesting what you want in your lives. This week we’ll again continue that theme since it’s obviously a popular subject with many of you. Then next week we’ll move on to something else.

There’s a lovely little canal running through the hills where I go jogging. In the winter the water to the canal is turned off, and so it becomes only a dry, rather ugly, stream bed with a few frozen mud puddles here and there.

I was out jogging one morning recently and noticed, to my delight, the canal was running again. As I ran alongside the water I was facing the sun. The sunlight cast the canal in a sparkling white light as the winding waters wandered lazily among the hills and sagebrush. It was an idyllic scene of peace and beauty.

Then I realized the canal looked like a huge white snake. (I know that image may turn some of you off. But I happen to like snakes, and I think they’re beautiful creatures.)

A bit farther down the canal I spotted what looked like a big white snake swimming on the surface of the water. As I drew closer, I realized it was just a large piece of white plastic shaped like a snake.

Another half mile or so later, just a few inches to the left of my path, I spied a real snake. And it too was white.

What’s going on here? I asked myself. Suddenly I knew.

Spirit

Note from John:

Except for my regular weekly opening comments, I don’t often preface Spirit’s remarks. But I thought this time it would be useful to give you a couple of definitions from the Merriam-Webster dictionary.

Synchronicity: The coincidental occurrence of events . . .

Coincidence: The occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident . . .

And now here’s Spirit:

You’ve heard it said, at least in discussions such as ours here today, there are no accidents–there are no coincidences–there are only the perfect workings of the Universe. We are, of course, talking about the Law of Attraction.

The Law of Attraction rules the Universe. Literally.

When you understand and accept that, your lives will become far simpler, easier, and more abundant.

There is a common myth loose in your world–and that is the myth of what you call “luck,” be it “good luck” or “bad luck.”

There are no accidents, no coincidences, no good luck, no bad luck. None of these exist except in your misperceptions of how the Universe works.

The entire underpinning, if you will, of the Universe is the Law of Attraction. Law of Attraction explains everything–it is the reason the Universe exists. It is the reason the life you are living exists as it does right now.

You live in a Universe of law. It’s that simple. Law of Attraction presides over all creation.

And so, Spirit, you might ask, what does this have to do with me manifesting what I want in my life?

Everything!

What you focus on is what you get. The Universe, by its own Law of Attraction, must deliver to you what you focus on.

The problem is many of you do not consciously or deliberately choose what to focus on. And so, whatever your predominant focus is, is what the Universe delivers to you.

John’s “snake” experience illustrates this perfectly. It was a light experience and, for him at least, a fun experience. But it makes our point.

Which is: Whatever you focus on, deliberately or not, you get more of.

So it would behoove you to pay attention to what you’re paying attention to. Because what you’re paying most of your attention to is what’s thereby manifesting in your life.

You have complete freedom here–you can give your attention to whatever you choose.

But it would be to your greater benefit if you would give your attention to what you really want. Of course, you are free to give your attention to what you really do not want. And, when you do that, you usually do it by default. That is, by not paying attention to what you’re paying attention to.

Either way, the Universe will deliver. What it will deliver–what you want or what you don’t want–is totally up to you.
