Feeling Guilty About Being Lazy

posted in: Blog, channeling | 2

When people walk a spiritual path, they often come to understand how important practices such as conscious breathing, reflecting on wisdom they have encountered, and doing certain exercises can be. When they neglect these activities, they may begin to judge themselves, which can lead to feelings of guilt.

Spirit

Feeling guilty is a waste of energy because it is an unnecessary emotion. You are exactly where you are meant to be.

As Jeshua/Jesus teaches in A Course in Miracles and The Way of Mastery, you need do nothing. The ego you identify with is not what brings you home again. It is the Holy Spirit — your true Spirit — that does this.

Your soul knows what is necessary and what needs to be done. Your ego does not. In fact, the ego does not even want to awaken!

Feeling guilty or doubtful about the way you walk your path of remembrance, is a trick of the ego. It distracts you from being at peace, from being present, and from sensing or hearing your inner guidance — from being aligned with it.

Simply notice these feelings and return to the present moment through conscious breathing, remembering that this is the ego at work.

There is no reason to feel guilty, because there are no obligations. You have free choice. You are inherently free.

Do what brings you joy. If you want to watch the Olympic Games every day, then do so. Don’t let guilt spoil your day or whatever activity you choose.

There will come a time again when you feel drawn to pick up that book or watch an inspiring video that supports awakening.

Here’s a short video by Bashar, channeled by Darryl Anka, about the difference between guilt and responsibility.

Thank you John/Berna & Spirit for this message. And also for Bashar (Darryl Anka). This helps me so much about the feeling of guilt.
