May your walls know joy; may every room hold laughter and every window open to great possibility. ~ Mary Anne Radmacher-Hershey

It’s hard for me to believe, but today’s post is our 1,000th — that’s one thousand! It seems it was only yesterday we started on this fun adventure.

I thought this would be an appropriate occasion to share with you some of my favorite quotations from Spirit. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Here they are, in no particular order.

Spirit

  • Laughter, joy, and fun have many powerful benefits for you and for your bodies, minds, and spirits.
  • There is no death. Death is an illusion you have tortured yourselves with for all of human history. It’s time to stop that nonsense!
  • You could not recognize greatness in others if you did not have greatness within yourself. Honor that recognition.
  • Trust everything works out for your highest good — because it always does.
  • The present moment is the only place you will find joy and peace. You will never find them in the past or the future.
  • You are perfect just as you are. Do you believe that? It’s true.
  • Love is the only way you can be truly healed. Animals are the greatest healers because they love you unconditionally, asking nothing in return.
  • The best thing you can do for others and the world is to put your own happiness and well-being first.
  • Anything less than joy, less than happiness is not what God wants for you. Anything less than that is not what your spirit wants for you.
  • Remember this: At death your loved ones leave only their bodies. They do not leave you.
  • Speak your truth kindly. Think kind thoughts. Always.
  • You will always know what’s right for you by the joy it brings you.
  • Many humans often ask themselves “Why am I here?” We can answer that question with one word: Joy.
  • Loving yourself unconditionally is the single most important thing you can do in this lifetime.
  • Have fun. Play more. Love more. Life is not serious. It’s supposed to be fun. It’s supposed to be joyful. It’s that simple. Don’t make it complicated or difficult.
  • If you allow and accept animals into your lives they will heal you.
  • Joy is your connection to the divine energy you may call God. Joy is your bond with your spirit.
  • Let go of situations and relationships that no longer serve you.
  • Cherish and embrace your now. It’s where miracles flow easily and effortlessly. It’s the only place where miracles flow.
  • Let go of fear. Choose only love.
  • Joy is your life’s purpose, pure and simple. Joy is your birthright. Joy is natural.
  • All you have is the present moment. It’s where all your power is.

I am reminded of an incident when I was 5, 76 years ago. My Dad stopped at a fence of a farm where a cow was standing by the fence. My Dad said, “You can pet her; she won’t hurt you.” I said, “What will she do if I don’t pet her?” It’s always been easier for me to pet dogs and I’m glad that my family had a dog when I was young. To keep my life simple, I have nothing at home that requires water but I do have a bunch of artificial flowers in my living room (my favorite – lilacs) and in my bathroom. Now I’m reminded of attending a monthly Buddhist meditation. They decided it would be nice to have some flowers so they began putting a vase of flowers in the middle of the room. “I said to the group, “You know when you cut flowers, you are killing them.” At the next meeting there was a flower plant in the middle of the room.

Thank you so much, Karen, for your kind words. I had forgotten that was our 1,000th post. As you say, it’s like a blink of eternity.

I’m deeply grateful to you for your constant support and love.

So true, John, on how the world seems to be getting smaller with the wonders of the internet. Thank you for introducing us to Barbara. It’s comforting to see a kind soul taking time for the animals in this crazy world.

  5. Barbara

Thank you, Pat, Margaret and John.
That video brought back precious memories.
My love and gratitude to you all.

    • John Cali

You’re most welcome, Barbara. It certainly did bring back precious memories.

Thank you for all you do!

    • Pat

You’re truly welcome, Barbara, and love and many blessings to you, too.

  6. Pat

Comforting and encouraging words from Spirit, John. Thanks for sharing and helping us to remember. Also, I’m glad Barbara got the word to the wolves to move out — loving and moving video. Enjoyed it.

    • John Cali

Thanks very much, Pat, for your kindness. I’m delighted you enjoyed it. Barbara is incredibly gifted when it comes to animals. She understands them better than most of us do.

      • Pat

You’re welcome, John. I can see that she is incredibly gifted. I have a friend who used to live in Colorado by the name of Barbara that is an animal communicator. I had an opportunity to work with her in helping a horse many years ago. I wonder if she is the same Barbara.

        • John Cali

Thanks, Pat. No, my Barbara is not the Colorado Barbara. She’s lived in Scotland all her life.

          • Pat

I knew it was probably a long shot, John, as the same Barbara. Nevertheless, I love this Barbara’s wonderful gentle soul and I’m glad she is honoring her calling in reaching out to the spirit of animals.

          • John Cali

Well, you never know, Pat — our world is getting smaller all the time, especially with the internet. She truly is a wonderful and gentle soul who dearly loves animals.

    Woof!

I almost wanted to leave the comment at that – because if you could hear the tone of my woof – it says it all… congratulations, job well done, thank you, and lots of love … and that you’re the best – like dogs always make us feel. Your articles are always articulate and the voice of Spirit always comes through with a very direct simplicity. It has been a true pleasure reading your articles and feeling their positive affect in my life and love.

They have always resonated with the truth I have experienced in life, much of which could not be validated by others’ experience and which has most certainly gone against the mainstream. And although I still feel my views are not mainstream, I experience very little conflict in life and continually meet more and more positive people.

I understand that what I experience is a direct reflection of how I see myself – so it reinforces everything I have read here and truly understand how wonderful it is to love myself as much as possible, God dang it. 😉

My little joke is because most people don’t find it easy to love themselves – I get that and have experienced that in my life – but like most things the more we do, the easier it gets.

Although I don’t think you ever preach – you can still consider me part of the choir.

Thanks for all the good reads in the past, present, and future … NOW!

    • John Cali

Thanks so much, Dan. “Woof!” really does say it all. 🙂

I understand about not being part of the mainstream — I’ve been gone so long from that, I’ve nearly forgotten what it’s like. As with you, I experience almost no conflict any longer, and continue meeting some incredible folks — mostly through the work I’m blessed to do.

I agree with you about self-love — the more we do it, the easier it gets. And, I would add, the more fun it gets. 🙂

Thanks again, dear brother, for all your love and support over the years.

      Much love,
      John

  12. Susan

Love and blessings to you too!

      Love, John

Congratulations John, on your 1000th release! I can’t say I’ve read them all, but many of them truly made a difference in my life. You and Spirit are indeed always a beacon, not only in my personal life, but regarding the Running Fox work as well. Thank you John!

    • John Cali

Thank you so much, Hans. I may have read them all — but I can’t remember them all. 🙂

  17. Pat

A truly momentous occasion, Sir! Wish I were there to pop a bottle of bubbly with all of your followers. Let’s plan that for your 10,000th issue.

Loved all of the Spirit quotes, but the one about “It’s time to stop that nonsense” (about death being an illusion) rang so very true. It is time. I don’t think that’s about just bodily death but includes the death of a friendship, the death of a state of being, the death of just any old thing.

Thanks for at least 1,000 inspirations, John.

    • John Cali

Thank you kindly, Pat! I did get a bottle of bubbly — and wish I could share it with all of you tonight. 🙂 But you’re all always in my thoughts and in my heart.

You make a good point about death — it includes the death, or the end, of so many aspects of our lives. But it’s all good because as Spirit says, “All paths lead home.”
