Doomscrolling

It’s only recently that Berna and I came across the word “doomscrolling.” We hadn’t heard it before, and had to look it up to see what it meant.

The Mayo Clinic defines doomscrolling as “The obsessive and unproductive consumption of negative information on social media.”

I guess I’m a bit out of touch with today’s world, or at least with social media.

Actually, though, “doomscrolling” is just a new word for what, in our opinion, is one of humanity’s worst habits–always expecting the worst.

Spirit

Well, indeed, people seem to love bad news. It is kind of addictive. All the so-called negative events are ‘poisoning’ the minds of people.

Especially in turbulent times with inner and outer wars, it is very important to be aware of who you really are. You are Love. You are God also.

Don’t listen to your ego. Don’t act upon its instructions. Ignore the negativity.

Don’t scroll down to doom. Scroll up to Love.

Love heals. Love is the highest power there is.

There is so much Love out there. You are Love. So let that out. Express the Love that you are.

As we have said many times over many years now, You are Goddess/God. It is that simple, that powerful. There is no greater truth in this Universe.

Make this a daily New Year’s resolution:

“Today I express the Love that I am. And I will listen to my inner guidance in whatever form that will be”.

The organization, Tomorrow’s World Viewpoint, created this short explanation of doomscrolling, and its effects on people’s mental health.

I never heard the term either. Yes, spot on indeed.
I watch, I listen and I accept humanities faults. Sometimes they are also mine. It’s interesting times and we are here for a reason. Life is not as serious as people think and in many ways we are acting out our fears and negativity. Light and love rises through a flick of a switch that states, I love who and what I am.

I have been thing of The Watchers, not so much as the church would see them. If you, John and Spirit care to enlighten me about this, it would be most appreciated.

love, hugs and a glorious, light shining New Year!
