The pan flute player in this picture was born without hands and parts of his arms. His parents and siblings all played instruments. But, obviously, he could not. His father kept thinking about a way for his son to also play music. One day the father came home with a pan flute for his son. The son then locked himself in his room with the flute.
After many hours, he came out of his room and said to his parents: “I am going to become the best pan flute player in the world.”
Eventually he ended up as a special guest of the famous orchestra leader, André Rieu. André invited him to perform with his Johann Strauss Orchestra in the 2024 Christmas Concert (see video below).
Another man without arms who has also shown determination and perseverance is Richie Parker.
Spirit
You’ve probably asked yourself that question in our title. Perhaps more than once, and perhaps in dark frustration.
The pan flute player Johnny wrote about above, was obviously a determined young man who was wildly successful.
Another equally successful young man was Richie Parker.
Both men have a daunting life challenge most of you will never face. They should be an inspiring example to all of you who think your life is a daunting challenge every morning when you wake up.
Richie was also born without arms. Yet he became a NASCAR engineer. He’s accomplished more in his life than many could in ten lifetimes.
You are unlimited. Your only limit is your belief you are limited. As you have heard us say many times over many years, YOU ARE GOD!
God has no limits. YOU have no limits.
And here is the beautiful performance of the pan flute player.
Corine
