Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed. ~ Mahatma Gandhi
This week we’re doing something a bit different.
I live just outside Yellowstone National Park. According to park authorities, The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is home to about 700 grizzly bears, an endangered species.
I know there’s a lot of controversy in the United States today about endangered wildlife. I don’t intend to get into that controversy here. But I did want to talk about honoring Mother Earth and all life for whom she is home.
The legendary Nez Perce Chief Joseph once said this:
The earth is our mother. She should not be disturbed by hoe or plough. We want only to subsist on what she freely gives us.
My spirit guides have often spoken about this subject. Here is something they recently said:
Your Mother Earth is a living, breathing entity, just as your physical bodies are. And she has a soul, or spirit, just as all humans do. She is a soul, a spirit, as you are. She has a heart. She and all life upon her deserve to be loved, respected, and honored.

We’re closing this short discussion today with a powerful video from author and naturalist Doug Peacock. It’s a bit longer than our usual and has some rough language. But it will be worth the nearly 12 minutes it will take you to see it.
