A few weeks ago I was visiting family. A couple days later, one of them called me to ask if I could remember seeing her car keys when I was visiting. It seems she’d misplaced them.
I did not remember seeing the keys but, instantly, that still, small voice within me said’ “Tell her to look in the coat closet.”
I said to myself, “That’s ridiculous! Why would she put her car keys in the coat closet?”
So I didn’t say anything. About a week later, after searching through the whole house, she called to let me know she’d found the keys.
Guess where? In the coat closet!
You’d think, after all these years on the spiritual path, I would have learned to trust my intuition more.
Spirit
We love this story Johnny tells on himself. It illustrates a situation more and more of you are finding yourselves in, as your planet moves through all the huge changes you’re seeing all around you.
These changes, even the seeming painful and distressing ones are all good. This calendar year of your 2017 is going to be—already is—deeply transforming for every being on the planet, particularly human beings.
You don’t need to pay much attention to your news media to see and, above all, feel the dramatically shifting energies. You are witnessing these shifts in every aspect of your planet’s experience—politics, science, medicine, religion, and so on.
In the midst of this seeming chaos, those of you who are particularly sensitive often get what appear to be conflicting messages coming at you from all directions.
So where can you turn, knowing you will find answers? Not just any answers, but answers that make sense, answers that—above all—feel right for you?
There is only one place, one source—that still, small voice within you. You will always get the right answers, guidance, and sense of security there.
That still, small voice within you is the voice of God. It is a part of you. You are one with it. You are one with God. Trust that always.

I had a direct download from Spirit—2 words—that I knew immediately EXACTLY what they meant. They referred to something that I experienced over FIFTY years ago. Something very amusing, and totally pertinent to a series of decisions I was making –without the background information I needed.
I ignored the message, and barged forward because with my plans, which involved a sizeable outlay of money for airline tickets to Europe and back.
Guess what? Within less than a week, I learned that the person I was planning to travel with was not a kind of person that I wanted to get up close and personal with.
If I had paid attention to that “still small voice” that comes from the “knows-all/sees-all” space, I would have been ahead of the game.
Lesson learned.
The “still, small voice” is often experienced when driving… It is how I “knew” what that driver ahead of me was going to do before he/she did it.
I want more and more of that!

Thank you, John and Spirit. I’ve had some conflicting voices lately and this is a confirmation of just what I needed to hear. I was leaning in this direction of the still, small voice but, boy, those raging screams of fear and panic are overwhelming. Glad to be pointed back where I need to be.

You’re most welcome, Patricia. I know many folks are running scared right now. But I always like to remind them (and myself) that, as A Course in Miracles, says, worry and fear are not real. We’ve just made them up.
Yesterday I decided to download a favourite show it was on the night before but I did not see it. So as I logged on to Itunes to find it and pay for it my small voice said turn on the tv and see what is on at that time. I did not listen. I paid for my show watched it then went to check out what was on and it was the exact show I just watched. The station never plays that show in the afternoon only after 9 pm, that was a surprise. I should have listened to that small voice. We all have it whispering to us and we all need to pay attention to it. It was a minor thing but it is the practice of listening that is important.
Isn’t it interesting that your article is now and I had the same experience. The voice doesn’t come with loud bangs and fire-works, it is a whisper in your mind but oh how that whisper can help in so many ways.

There are ALOT of voices and alot of 3rd Chakras expressing ALOT of things right now.
Thank you for reminding me to become quiet and listen to that still small voice when things get too tense and crazy as they have been since the election.
Also, listening to Wayne Dyer’s wonderful words while gazing at that amazing orange tree(!) I was reminded of how in the 8 years of Barack Obama’s Presidency he planted seeds of Hope and Change. Those seeds have sprouted and burst forth and now we are living in the change. Maybe not quite in the way we expected or had hoped for but nonetheless a mighty contrast from which to launch our rockets of desire.
So thanks. It made made very peaceful.
When I am quiet and in tune with the still small voice I am no longer swept away by anxiety worry or fear. Just Peace and a calm assurance that All is Well. Not that I’ve been feeling a whole lot of THAT lately, mind you, but thanks for reminding me that this is so.
