Big Changes Are Coming

2020 is the start of your new year, and a new decade. It’s also the end of an era—an era where all the old ways are crumbling and falling away.

In 2020 you’re going to see even more upheaval and changes than you have in this past decade. The changes will be on every level: personal, individual, family, country, your entire planet.

Forgiveness is God’s command. ~ Martin Luther

I grew up in an oppressive religious environment, as I know many of you did. I can think of stronger words. But “oppressive” will do for now.

Norman Vincent Peale

He told about the time he was sitting in a cafeteria by himself. Suddenly, a stranger walked up to him, and stared at him for a moment.Read more

posticon Secret Courage: A True Story

People with courage and character always seem sinister to the rest. ~ Herman Hesse, German poet and novelist

We’ve told this story before, many years ago. But it’s worth revisiting, especially in the context of today’s world, where courage, secret or not, seems so rare.

When we were kids, my brother, cousins, and I loved to roam through the forests and fields, hills and valleys of our rural home area.

Back in those long-ago days, it was perfectly safe. Except for one dense, bleak wooded area.Read more
