A few years ago, we had an interesting question-and-answer session. Since the wisdom shared there applies to everyone—and because many of our readers can benefit from it—we decided to share it here.
Berna asked Spirit:
“How can I use my full potential? If love is the healing force, and I only use a little, does that mean I don’t love enough (if love can even be measured in amounts)?”
Spirit
Remember, you’re all on a conscious journey—a path of growth, of expansion. Some call it enlightenment. We don’t like that word, but it works for now.
Because you’re still in human form, there will always be things you could do differently—ways to grow further. Not necessarily “better,” because “better” implies judgment. It’s simply about allowing the human part of you to catch up with the God part of you. That’s really what this is all about.
The more you practice anything—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—the more natural it becomes. So, no, you’re not doing anything wrong. Let’s be clear about that. And no, you’re not falling short of what you should be doing.
Sometimes you don’t see the results of your work. But just because you can’t see the impact doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Because of your heightened awareness, your deep spiritual growth, you are affecting everyone around you—even people far away. Whenever you think of someone, you touch their life in ways you may not realize.
And this happens because of who you are. It’s the energy you radiate. You don’t have to consciously intend for someone to heal. You don’t need to say the perfect words or perform a specific ritual.
The most powerful act is to simply remember who you are:
The love that you are. The God that you are.
Of course, you can focus on specific people or situations—that’s wonderful and helpful. But even without that, by just holding someone in your awareness with love, you create healing. Whether you’re physically near or far, you are already facilitating transformation.
If you choose to send healing energy intentionally, that’s beautiful. But here’s the truth:
You don’t have to do anything. In fact, the less you try, the more powerful you become.
As you grow spiritually, the more effortless it gets. Effort—struggle—comes from the human side. And effort can sometimes dilute the energy you’re sharing. Trying to force a result can weigh your energy down.
So, what matters most is simply this:
Be who you truly are.
Send love.
Think of others with love.
If someone needs healing, just hold them in your mind for a few moments—or longer, if you wish—and send love.
That is the most powerful healing force in the universe.
Never diminish that power by wondering, “Am I making a difference?” You are. You always are.
