What Time Is It Now? Follow-up

John

Here is Spirit’s follow-up message on the subject of time.

Spirit

Your obsessive preoccupation with time (or the passage of time) is, as we’ve said before, unhealthy and wasteful.

Why do we say that?

You allow yourselves, your choices about your lives, to become distorted by the way you perceive what you call “time.”

Time is an illusion.

But it is a useful illusion. You could not live your physical lives in a healthy, useful way if you did not have this perception of time that you do have.

The critical point we wish to make here is you are in control. Time is a tool you absolutely need to exist in a physical world.

Although, as we have said before, you create your own realities. That includes time. You create time.

If you create time, you also have the ability to manipulate time. Or, if you will, to change time.

You are able to not only change time, but to slow it down or speed it up. Time is not, as many of you believe, a “fixed” reality. You control it. You can change it in whatever way you choose.

If you can change time, you can slow it down or speed it up. Take a few quiet moments now and think about what your ability to manipulate time really means.

It means you are in control. You can use time for whatever purposes you choose. If you speed it up, you will age faster. If you slow it down, you delay aging.

You may have read about the masters (men and women) who are able to live physical lives of 700 or 800 years or more. These people were–obviously–the masters of time.

What would you do with your life if you could extend it by hundreds of years?

Simple y sencillamente lo que nosotros llamamos tiempo, no existe.

    Hi again Berna
Just a follow-up on your comment.
    You said:
“Slowing down or speeding up time is happening within the illusion. The mind that is running us is within the illusion. And because our body is in the mind, this MIND AFFECTS PHYSICAL AGING..(my emphasis)
If we live from our connection to the Divine, we can do anything. We even don’t have to age. ”

Yes, the MIND affects aging, not the illusion of time.
There are different levels to everything: intelligence, stupidity, as well as views of how life works. The view you are expressing is a higher level view involving GOD and soul. How ‘we’ view life is from a lower level based more on what is in our faces. For me, illusions are within my mind’s conciousness and not the other way around. So…. if my mind chooses to not use the illusion of time as anything more than a way of percieving change, it dosn’t. It is about thinkig and living conceptually rather than linearly. That is about thinking of the end result and not thinking how I am going to get there. My higher mind (soul?) fills in the gap between where I am and where I wish to be. Getting there linearly involves time and step-by-step thinking and doing. That is one way we get so messed up with time because we start with ‘how’ and associate our doing within the context of time.
My heart is the portal to the divinity embedded in me as a child of GOD. I am learning to listen more and more to my heart and less to my head.
More blessings to you and John

    Hi Berna,
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation of your view. I agree that the illusion of ‘time’ is a necessary part of our existence. It is how we experience change. My view is a bit different in that time only affects me if I accept the illusion as an inescapable ‘real’ consequence of my existance. And I do not. I am aware that what my body experiences is the result of the various activities of my mind. I have experienced cancer twice and know exactly the activities of my mind that caused the cancer both times. Of course, I know this now, ‘after the fact’. My body and I dissolved the cancer both times without the ungracefull medical aproach. The first time was 60 years ago and I talked to the cancer and told it my body and I did not have room for it in our life so it cannot stay.It had the wrong address, go look for some one who has the porch light on waiting for it. It disappeared. The second episode was earlier this year. The cancer was in my head pressing against my left eye. Remember the video game Pacman? I imagined Pacman inside my head munching away at the cancer several ‘times’ a day for weeks. No more cancer. The medical approach takes ‘time’. We are blessed with so much divine power that we don’t need to use the illusion of time as obsessively real as we do.
Divine blessings for you and John,
    David

      Hi David,
Wow, you really are a living example that the patient is the healer! Beautiful!
Suffering in any form can wake up people and can help them to remove the blocks that they have placed between them and the free flow of Love.
The body is a neutral servant and just does what the mind tells it to do. Talking to the cells in a loving way is really a powerful way to get them into peace and balance again.

Thank you for your contribution. We wish you all the best.
      Blessings and love,

      Berna

Also, I wish to bring to our attention that clocks do not tell ‘time’. All they do is display the current accumilation of tick-tocks. These days clocks are electronic devices that typically have an electronic oscillator that provides 32,768 ‘tick-tocks’ per second. The readout display converts the accumilation of 353,894,400 tick-tocks
to 3 am. We mentally associate that readout as ‘time’ which is our way of sensing change. We also associate calenders as expressions of time but on a larger scale.

    Hi John and Berna,

These 2 statements do not mesh in my mind.

    “Time is an illusion.”
    and
“If you speed it up, you will age faster. If you slow it down, you delay aging”.

So, how can we slow down or speed up an illusion? And just how can this illusion affect physical aging? Something seems to be missing

The effects of our illusion of time are expressed in our bodies as well as surrounding environmental circumstances. Time would have to be individually changable for our bodies, our pet bodies, the city transit system, work start and end times, tv broadcast schedules and of ,of course, gps systems which apparently use atomic clocks.

We tend to think of time as universal so if we think of changing time in our front room, we tend to think time will also change in our neighbor’s front room. I need help with this.

    Thank you so much,
    David

    • Berna Copray

      Hi David, Berna here.
I look at it in the following way.
We as souls have chosen to separate from source, so we could experience the effects of that choice. Source gave us the freedom to choose this. In order to be successful, we created fear and everything that comes from that. Time became a necessary tool to live in that dream of separation.
Since separation from God is impossible, everything we do from that idea is unreal, an illusion.

Such life is based on our attitudes, perceptions and beliefs. These are not Reality. Our body is affected by our mind where these attitudes, perceptions and beliefs are held. Our body is in the mind, not the other way. This mind is running us.

However, if we live from Christ Mind, the Divine, we can do anything. We are very powerful beings. As Spirit said in the article we re-posted recently (The Illusion of Time by John Cali – John Cali’s Spirit Speaks Newsletter)You have all the time in the universe when you’re focused on aligning your energy with the energy of your higher self. When you do that aligning, you can literally expand time.
When you focus on aligning yourselves with your higher self, when you focus on the power of the present moment — then, time, as you know it, literally ceases to exist. In fact, everything that has ever existed, everything that will ever exist, exists now, in this present moment.

Slowing down or speeding up time is happening within the illusion. The mind that is running us is within the illusion. And because our body is in the mind, this mind affects physical aging.
If we live from our connection to the Divine, we can do anything. We even don’t have to age. I hope this helps.
