Yellowstone National Park

volcanic-explosion As some of you know, I live near Yellowstone National Park. The park sits on top of the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest active supervolcano on the continent.

There have been massive eruptions a few times over the last few million years. If the supervolcano erupted again, it could wipe out a good part of the western US, and maybe more.

A dear friend of mine wrote me a while back, and was concerned about the danger of living here. Certainly, if the volcano erupted, it would destroy all life for many miles around.Read more
