The Power of Touch

As I’m sure you’re all aware, “social distancing” has restricted our physical actions around other people. From what we’ve been seeing, one of the most difficult challenges is to avoid touching others, even those we love. No hugging, kissing, or any other physical contact.

It’s a not-so-gentle reminder of the power of touch, and how we miss it.

Spirit

The power of touch is a fascinating subject, especially for those of us in spirit. Humans, in their physical bodies, are keenly aware, especially in this challenging time on your planet, of the power of physical touch. They are aware of how much they miss it.

As Dr. Shetty says in the video below, human hands have healing power when they touch others. Even more healing power, he suggests, than his arsenal of medical tools and drugs.

We agree with all that.

But we would go a step beyond, and suggest the power of touch is not limited to physical touching. As powerful as physical touching is, even more powerful is what we call “spiritual touching.”

Every time you lovingly think of someone, you are touching them, helping them heal from whatever needs healing.

Your thoughts are that powerful. You’ve heard it said, “Mind is the healer.” You can heal others (and yourself) with your mind. Your mind is the most powerful healing tool available to humans.

Do not underestimate your mind’s power. Yes, it can heal. But it can also wound. Always be aware of that power, and of the responsibility you all have to always use it lovingly.

When enough of you do that, you can heal the whole world.

This is a powerful video of Devi Shetty, M.D. explaining the power of touch. He says touch is far more healing than any of the medical tools and procedures he has access to. Dr. Shetty is the founder and chairman of Narayana Health.

Beautiful video. I also had the privilege of meeting Mother Teresa when I lived in India many years ago. I was very distressed by the poverty and felt helpless because all I could do was hand out a few rupees to these desperate people. She took hold of my hand, looked me in the eye and said ” Dear, all you have to do is love them”. So profound and such a great lesson for us all.

Thank you very much, Genevieve — what a beautiful story of Mother Teresa! As you said, it’s such a profound and great lesson for us all — and so simple.

Oh, I can touch you, just by reaching out with my energy and touch you oh so gentle on the hand. You will feel the touch ever so gentle, ever so quiet as if a breeze has passed you by. We are energy, we are filled with such exquisite power we don’t even realize it . yet thoughts are things and energy is our essence and we can touch, hug and give a hello kiss without being physical.

So many things come to mind if one has the gumption, the curiosity and the will make them happen.

    Great reminder .
I leave you now with a gentle touch and hugs of love

You are so right John. When I lost my son a while ago I was so sad that I would never feel his hand in mine or his touch again, but he started coming to me as a loving warm vibration and “wrap” me in his loving spirit form & once again I had my son’s touch upon my hand or face.

Thank you very much, Pam. As Spirit has said many times, “We never lose those we love.” We certainly miss their physical presence. But we can always be sure they are always with us.

      God bless you!
