“That the message We Are All One, interrelated, interconnected and interdependent, with God/Life/One-another, is the one spiritual message that the world has been waiting for to bring about loving and sustainable answers to humanity’s challenges.” ~ Global Oneness Day 2017
As I’m sure many of you know, last Tuesday was the 8th yearly celebration of Global Oneness Day, sponsored by Humanity’s Team, founded by Neale Donald Walsch.
What follows is a bizarre true story of oneness, told to me many years ago by a dear friend who was there.
It was a cold winter’s night in an upscale neighborhood of Washington, DC. A group of close friends had gathered to celebrate the weekend. Eventually they got around to discussing the state of the world.
There was a lot of turmoil in those days. This was the era of President John Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis, and a time of rampant racism. So there was a lot to discuss.
These friends were well educated and intelligent, all doctors and nurses. You could reasonably assume they were free of racial prejudice. But, as the evening wore on, one or two of the group made derogatory comments about black people. The others were shocked.
Then someone pointed out one of group, a doctor, was black. The conversation screeched to a halt.
No one in the group even saw the doctor as black. They were all so close they were blind to the differences among them. They saw only the oneness, the love they had for each other, and all they had in common.

We have little to add to what Johnny has just said. But we will say this:
You have far more in common with all your sisters and brothers, with all the world than you have differences. Once you recognize that, all war, all hatred, all prejudice, like this group’s conversation, would come to a screeching halt.
There is great power in the awareness that you are all one. With that power you can create, almost overnight, the peace you have longed for over many centuries.
That is the power of oneness.

The law of attraction is the law of attraction.
When the expectation of peace outweighs its lack it will be.

Thanks very much, Ron! I expect peace will prevail. We’ve exhausted all other ways. Peace is now the only way.

I can so identify with your story. In the late 70’s I was a new young teacher in a town that was predominantly populated by blacks and Hispanics. After the first 2 weeks of school, I drove over to visit with my parents. My Mother asked me how many black children I had in my class this year. I thought and thought and could not come up with the answer. I am so grateful that as a new teacher .. I did not see color … only desire and attitude!!

Thanks very much, Steff. What an admirable and empowering attitude that is for a teacher!

Wow! How well Deepak puts it. I heard him speak a few years ago in Singapore and he has a real presence. I have also experienced the
awareness of being so much more than this body. It makes such a difference to all our thinking and our behaviour when we get this. Cheers

Thank you, Genevieve. I agree — he says it perfectly. I think when more people reach that awareness you speak of, this planet will be transformed back into light.
