Struggle Is Useless

Ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu had an interesting philosophy:
Effort and struggle are useless.

That’s just the opposite of Western society’s credo:
Success always depends on hard work and struggle.

So who’s right?

Spirit

As you know, you all create your own reality. Everything—no exceptions—in your physical human experience is there because you created it and put it there.

We realize that’s a tough one for humans to accept. But take comfort in knowing your higher self, or soul-self if you prefer, can take anything you have manifested (job loss, car accident, divorce, etc.) and create a higher good from it.

It doesn’t matter what you have manifested (“good” or “bad”). Your soul, in its great love for you, its human aspect, will always create something better.

But you must do your part in assisting Spirit. Your part is simple:
Always do what you love.

Then you will never have to struggle. Struggle is useless.

Greetings John,
As always, you and Chief Joseph provide valuable insight into the experiences of most of us. I’ve struggled, however, once more aware of the detriment of struggle, I’ve chosen to deliberately let go of struggle and see what possibilities arise.

Recently, I was a caregiver for 21 months for a wonderful gal with dementia. Her family got into a feud with her partner’s family and I was out of a job. I knew better than to worry or struggle. – 6 weeks later my landlord had a medical issue and she needed me part time and friends approached me to assist with their business. I make relatively the same $ with about half of the hours.

Experience is an easy way to prove to ourselves if something works or doesn’t. I encourage you (the audience) to do your own experiment. Give up the worry and struggle and see what arrives for you when you stay hopeful, or even better, looking forward to your next adventure. Contemplate how things can get better rather than how things can get worse. You can choose to imagine how it is getting better and it will.

Thank you for your beneficial messages that work for anyone who chooses to implement them.
You, John, are a gift to us all.
