Struggle Is Useless

Ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu had an interesting philosophy:
Effort and struggle are useless.

That’s just the opposite of Western society’s credo:
Success always depends on hard work and struggle.

So who’s right?

Spirit

As you know, you all create your own reality. Everything—no exceptions—in your physical human experience is there because you created it and put it there.

We realize that’s a tough one for humans to accept. But take comfort in knowing your higher self, or soul-self if you prefer, can take anything you have manifested (job loss, car accident, divorce, etc.)Read more

The Power of Doing Nothing

Ancient Chinese philosopher and poet Lao-tzu, author of Tao Te Ching, once said, “When nothing is done, nothing is left undone.”

Spirit

When you are at a place in your life where you do not know which way to turn, what is your usual response?

In our view, the best response is always to do nothing. We’re aware the usual response in Western society is to take action. It doesn’t matter what the action is. Just do something.

Your Western mentality dictates, when faced with challenges, you should do something, anything.Read more

Many years ago, I had a startling experience with love and religion.

Still a teenager, I’d joined the US Navy. (Military service was required in those days.) Stationed far from my New York home, I was lonely and homesick, as were my shipmates. Simon (not his real name), my closest friend on the ship, was also from New York.

  • But there must come a time when you let all that go, and consult the master within.

A few days ago I spent several long hours in the hospital. Not because there was anything wrong with me. I just had go for a yearly eye exam, and my doctor’s office is in a hospital.

I had to wait for the results of the various eye tests they did. (Everything was fine.) While I was waiting I could not help but overhear the other folks also waiting there. Virtually all of them were talking about everything that’s “wrong” with their bodies.Read more

In our last post, After You Read This You’ll Never Need To Make Another New Year Resolution Again, I mentioned I no longer regularly make new year resolutions—though I did make one for 2014. You can read the post for more details.

And in 2013 I made another resolution, though not at the new year. Let me explain.

Many of the folks I work with, and also some of those among my family and friends suffer from depression.Read more

Negative Energy by John Cali

posted in: Blog, channeling, spirituality | 2

Over the years, my spirit guides have talked often about negativity and negative energy. How do we deal with negativity? Is there an easy way to do it? Or is it always complicated and difficult?

Well, those of you who’ve been with us a while know how simple and easy Spirit says life really is. It’s our human limitations (all self-imposed) that make it seem complicated and hard.… Read more
