Darkness And Light

Some folks I know get depressed as our days grow darker in December with the approaching winter solstice. (In the northern hemisphere.) Ironically, this time of year is actually my favorite, which leads some to think there’s something wrong with me. 🙂

So many feel a sense of fear and dread as darkness descends. But the darkest days also herald the end of the darkness. Each day grows lighter as the darkness fades.

So why do so many suffer through this annual misery?

We have the greatest love and compassion for those humans who suffer and struggle with the yearly December darkness.

But we want you to know there is always more light than darkness. Light is a powerful force. Darkness is no force at all. It is merely the absence of light.

The light is always with you. How?

Light is within you. You cannot lose it. For it is not only within you. It is you.

You are God in human form for a short while. You are always God. You are human only briefly.

But even in that brief time, you carry the light of God within you. It is always with you. You can always turn to it when you feel lost in the illusion of darkness.

When you turn to the light and ask for help, the darkness vanishes—because it was never there to begin with.
