Dead People Want To Talk To You by John Cali and Spirit

There is no death because what God created shares His Life. There is no death because an opposite to God does not exist. ~ A Course in Miracles Copyright © 2006 by Marc Curran

Since Halloween (aka All Saints’ Eve) is two days from now, I thought this would be a good time to talk about dead people.

When my son was growing up, one of his and my favorite pastimes was visiting graveyards on gloomy days or at night. I know that might freak out some folks. But we always had fun doing it. We especially enjoyed visiting the two graveyards in my New York State hometown. After all, we knew a lot of the folks buried there.

Even today I love visiting graveyards. I always feel a deep sense of peace and joy. I suspect I’m picking up on the energies of those buried there—since they’re dead all they know is peace and joy.

We on this side of what you call the veil—death—are more alive than ever. The life you are living in your physical bodies, while full of wonder and beauty, is a mere shadow of what you will experience when you return home to Spirit.

Of course, you have never really left home. But the density of physical life often causes you to forget who you are and why you are in physical bodies.

You did not come to your current lifetime to suffer and struggle. Although that is the experience of many, it is not predestined. You came to have fun, to exercise the immense powers you possess to create whatever experiences you choose.

But if you do not believe you have those powers, you create by default. In other words, you just resign yourselves to whatever comes down the road, believing you are weak and powerless pawns in the hands of “fate.”

That is the biggest lie you have ever told yourselves.

So today we’d like to leave you with some thoughts your loved ones in spirit want us to convey to you.

  • You are God in human form.
  • Your divine destiny is joy.
  • You are entirely free to move through your days with a deep sense of joy and peace, no matter what your “external” circumstances are.
  • In every situation you face in your physical life, you have only two choices: you can choose fear or you can choose love.
  • Those are the only two choices you ever have to make. No other choices exist.
  • When you choose love under all circumstances, you literally bring heaven to earth.
  • You will know when it’s time to leave your physical bodies behind. It will feel right, no matter what confluence of energies you choose with which to make your departure.
  • You will return immediately to the realms of love and light, your true home.
  • You will remember all the experiences you had in the physical.
  • You will remember those experiences with love, knowing they were perfect for you at the time.
  • Love is all you are. Love is all you have ever been.
  • All is well.

John, thank you so much for posting the video by Mike Dooley. I lost my brother, Steve, a week ago. I cannot begin to tell you how relieved I felt when I listened to Mike Dooley’s words. My greatest worries about my brother were…is he safe, is he loved, is he accepted, and is he happy. My mind and my heart are so thankful for you and Mike. You helped me find the answers to my questions just when I needed them the most.

    • John Cali

You’re most welcome, Darlene. From recent personal experience, I know how hard it is when someone close to you passes over to the other side. My heart goes out to you. As my spirit guides often say, we never lose those we love. The love remains, and they are always with us. But I understand how much you must miss Steve’s physical presence. God bless you!

    Dear Hans,
How wonderful to be able to help in that way, showing the way. I know you have already been ‘ beyond the veils’ so you had the privilege of escorting another. A ferry man to take folk across the waters.

Thank you for sharing this. It does go some way in answering my as yet unformulated question about so-called ghosts.

I work in a very old building with a history of ghosts although I am told they have all been ‘released’. Certainly there is a great sense of the past being present there.

    Love to all

    • Hans

      Hi Margaret,

Thanks for your reply, Margaret. Indeed, to be of service, is always a great privilige and in this case also a wonderful experience.

Talking about ghosts. Unfortunately I cannot be of service in this respect. Not very much experience I’m afraid.

      Love, Hans

Years ago I had the opportunity to accompany a soul, who had died suddenly and violently, into the light. It is as you say, John. No one gets ‘stuck’ but sometimes it is necessary to lend a helping hand in the process of transformation.
It was awesome, when arriving at the ‘gate’, which in reality is no gate at all, to see and feel the overwhelming light and to embrace the endless love that was emanating from those who came to welcome the young man.
It is also good to understand that heaven is not ‘there.’ It is all around us and sometimes we are able to see a glimpse of what is happening.
Thank you John, for this posting. It certainly has enriched me.

    • John Cali

Thank you, Hans, for sharing that wonderful experience. You certainly, and clearly, make the point there is no death.

    • Pat

What a wonderful experience, Hans. I can see where helping in this way would be enriching. I also sense you were in a state of love and peace giving service and that, I believe, will always open us to Divine presence. Thank you for reading and sharing.

      • Hans

Thanks Pat. It occurred while being part of a Great Circle of Light, in which just about 30 persons participated. So the energies involved were very rich.

        Love, Hans

        • Pat

You’re welcome, Hans. I can imagine the energies would be heightened while participating in a group like that. It sounds like an intriguing event.

          • Hans

It was, Pat. It sure was!

  4. Myriah Walker

Thank you for this beautiful post and message. I avoided reading it for a while because I found the title disturbing. I don’t use that word, because I know we have eternal life, and have experienced that with so much contact from the other side. The love you intended to share with this message is heart felt and shines through, and I’m grateful to feel that. Thank you John and Spirit.

    • John Cali

      Thanks very much, Myriah.

Someone else made the same point about using the word, “dead.” I agree with you and her. The word is not accurate because, as you both said, life is eternal.

However, it does get people’s attention — which is my “trick,” I guess, to get folks to read the article.

  5. Margaret F. Unger

Years back when my mother’s best friend Lolita died, I had just gone to bed when the phone rang. It was my mother’s friend. We talked for a long time, when I suddenly realized & said to her. “Wait a minute! You’re dead! You aren’t suppose to be talking to me.” And I hung up. Either later or a couple of days later she called again and we chatted for quite a while, till I realized and repeated, “Wait a minute! You’re dead! You aren’t suppose to be talking to me.” And I hung up. In the day hours I realized I must have been in a twilight sleep. My two sisters, also psychic and had similar experiences with her. We all waited about 2 weeks before telling our mom about the contacts. By then she was ready to hear about them. I think its funny that at that level I was upset with her for talking to me while she was/ is dead. It was cool that she also contacted my sisters. She knew we would relay the messages to my mom.

  6. Pat

Thank you, John. This is good and comforting — words I need to hear more often. They are things my head and heart knows. I’m getting better at understanding death and the gripping fear that takes over me.

Funny, in spite of fear, these types of things have always intrigued me and I feel drawn to learn more.

  7. Margaret

I didn’t really believe in life after death until my mother visited me two days after her passing. She managed to ‘get through’ to me via the telephone! The phone kept ringing but only twice and did so three or four times until I remembered something mm had shared with me before she passed…..a dream she had had about leaping over some water and getting to the other side but didn’t know where to go so she saw a telephone box and called me…..

As I realised it was mum getting through to me a flood of love poured into me like she was giving me the biggest hug but then she had to go and I felt her leave but I also felt the love she had just imparted to me would always be part of me.

I have shared this with you before. It’s the reason I searched for where are the dead now and found your site which is giving me my answers 🙂

Now I am re-igniting my relationship with my father….or trying to. He passed on many years ago. I have had unresolved issues regarding my relationship with him. He found it hard to express his feelings and I never felt loved by him. At the moment I am trying to release any hurt negative feelings about this with some measure of success. It is good to think that every relationship we have will.have a happy ending eventually!

I did want to ask you about ghosts though. What is happening there?

With grateful thanks for all your stimulating and inspiring posts.

Thanks very much, Margaret, for sharing the beautiful story of your mother. Yes, I remember you privately telling me the story before. But I’m delighted you’re now sharing it with all our readers.

I wish you all the best with your father. As you said, it’s good to know all relationships ultimately have happy endings.

I’m not sure what your question about ghosts is. Could you explain it a bit more for me?

      Blessings, John

      • Margaret

I am not too sure what my question is either John!! What does Spirit say about ghosts. Are there some who get stuck between worlds?

        • John Cali

          Thanks for the clarification, Margaret.

My spirit guides have not talked about this much. But they have said (and I agree with them) no one gets “stuck.” Upon leaving our bodies, we all emerge back into the light and love of Spirit.

There’s more to it than that, but that’s the essence of it.

  8. Mikala

    Hello all:

I don’t like the word “dead” because nothing in creation “dies.” We, as humans simply walk through the veil of forgetfulness and on to the next segment of our lives as Spirit. The vessel which supported us in this world leaves us and another body, a Divine Body, becomes our home. “Dead”, to me, means “no life.” which is impossible.

My experience with those who have passed over is nearly the same as it was when they were in body. I can’t touch them or hug them, but they speak to me, often comfort me, certainly they make me laugh, and they are more than willing to give advice. The big difference is that they now offer unconditional, Divine Love, and their energy has changed into joy, love, and laughter.

    • John Cali

      Thank you very much, Mikala.

I don’t like the word “dead” either. But it does get the message across. 🙂
