Five Seagulls by Hans Brockhuis

Provokingly slowly the tide goes out. I am watching the slow passage of the large cargo vessels, and the diligent sailing to and fro of the pilot boats. It’s fascinating, and more than that. I’m really having a great time.

Seated on a bench on the promenade, I look out over the wide funnel-shaped estuary and for a long time I enjoy at ease the light, the air, and the water. It’s really a fantastic spectacle. The changing of many colors: green and blue, gray and white.Read more

You Are Beautiful Just As You Are by John Cali and Spirit

God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them ~ Genesis 1:27

In our last blog post, How Do You Express the Light of God?, we talked about an elderly lady who, despite her age and infirmity, nonetheless radiated a powerful, loving energy all about her.

This week we’re talking about another person who radiated that same loving energy all his life.

How To Conquer Fear Forever by John Cali and Spirit

I’ve grown certain that the root of all fear is that we’ve been forced to deny who we are. ~ Frances Moore Lappe

fear-441402_640

I firmly believe, as the above quotation says, the root of our fear is always denying our true selves.

We are, after all, God in human form, albeit temporarily. Fear does not exist for God. Fear is only an illusion we’ve created because we have forgotten our divine heritage, our true identity.

Spirit

Fear is one of the biggest bugaboos you humans have created for yourselves.Read more

Does God Exist? Is There Consciousness Outside of the Body, Or Life After Death? Part 1 by Anny Vos

Stonehenge_sun

The questions in the title of this post have always been asked by humanity. Spirituality and religion say yes to most of these questions, whereas science mostly denies it. For a long time matter was all that was real to science, although there are scientists who somehow manage to combine religion and science.

Science and spirituality are like mind and soul, like male and female, two opposites that have got out of balance since we ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.Read more

God Is In Everthing I See by John Cali and Spirit

I believe in God, only I spell it Nature. ~ Frank Lloyd Wrightgod-594709__180Our title today is taken from one of A Course In Miracles’ daily lessons.

I realize it’s hard for many of us to see that God truly is in everything we see. When I first started channelling years ago, people often asked my spirit guides who — or what — God was. I was asking that question myself.

My guides’ answer was as simple as it was profound: “God is all that is.”Read more

How Do You Uncreate Something You Do Not Want? by John Cali and Spirit

Do you believe our title? Is being happy really simple and easy? Is the key to happiness, as Dr. Sood says, as simple as practicing gratitude? Is happiness your birthright as a child of God?

US President Abraham Lincoln put it this way:
“A man is about as happy as he makes up his mind to be.”

Unlimited Abundance Is Yours by John Cali and Spirit

Money is just as holy as meditation, just as sacred as prayer. It is a wonderful part of God. ~ Neale Donald Walsch

Chicklet-currency

Most of us, one time or another, have struggled with abundance issues, particularly money — giving it and receiving it. The struggle is magnified if we really believe the universe is unlimited, yet see no evidence of it in our lives.

I recently received a letter from a dear friend, one of our readers. She was asking about all the emails she gets (as many of us do) from well-known spiritual teachers.Read more

Last Friday morning I awoke early, about 3:30 a.m. I felt strange — not in a bad way — just different from any feeling I’ve ever had in this lifetime.

A bit later I went to Frank’s Barber Shop for a haircut. (I’ve written about Frank before, here and here.)Read more

Why You Need To Always Be True To Yourself by John Cali and Spirit

Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself. ~ Richard Bach

i-love-myself-417267__180

As we all know, being true to ourselves can be a daunting challenge in our modern world. There are so many forces and influences trying to persuade us to rely on them instead of our own inner resources and knowing. And yet the only reliable resources and true knowing come only from within each of us.

As my spirit guides often say, our inner guidance is always our highest and best authority.Read more

The wisdom of your soul is a pearl beyond any price. Every single learning and growth that you have experienced in every lifetime and between every lifetime has contributed to the brilliance, to the luminescence and beauty of the energy of your soul. It is hard if not impossible for human beings to even imagine a fraction of the brilliance of their soul and of who they truly are. And that has been part of the journey for humanity.Read more

It’s that time of year when many folks make new year resolutions, often to abandon them only days or weeks later.

I no longer make new year resolutions. I prefer to call them intentions. When we create an intention the universe infuses it with powerful energy. That enables us to effortlessly flow toward fulfillment of the intention — as opposed to struggling to stick to a resolution.Read more

I’ve been a fan of the Spiritual Cinema Circle ever since it was founded in 2004 by Hollywood filmmaker Stephen Simon and psychologists Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks. While in Hollywood Stephen produced spiritually themed movies such as Somewhere In Time, with Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymour, and What Dreams May Come, with Robin Williams and Cuba Gooding, Jr.

The Circle has since grown into a global community of folks who love inspiring movies with spiritual themes–movies which Hollywood doesn’t think there’s a market for.Read more

Your Destiny Is Joy by John Cali and Spirit

Joy is prayer. Joy is strength. Joy is love. Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. ~ Mother Teresa

A couple days ago I read a poll taken recently on depression. Among its other findings, the poll said the time of year many folks are least depressed is right now–the holiday season.

It doesn’t matter whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Epiphany–or don’t celebrate at all. This is the season of joy. And joy, apparently, is contagious, regardless of what you believe or do not believe.Read more

Have you ever read the book by John Steinbeck about his travels with his dog Charley, in search of the true America? I did many years ago, and remembering this it somehow triggered me to one day travel to the U.S. with my wife. I was also in search of promising and overwhelming landscapes, of people, animals, and the way of living, as well as anything that would come our way.… Read more

Boo! What Scares You? by Pat Ruppel

Zucca2It’s October and today we celebrate Halloween, where we see scary costumes, cornfield mazes and spooky ghost houses. It’s a fun time for kids and adults to let go and pretend.

It’s also the season when we’re more acceptable of the world of the paranormal. Perhaps we’re even open to tune in and listen for something beyond what we normally hear and see.

Our bodies feel the subtle energy shifts, as Nature begins to slumber. The trees drop their leaves and the plants die with the cold temperatures.… Read more
