We define love as simply a choice – a choice to recognize the divinity in all beings (all that is). First, though, what is all that is?

Wildfires

Wildfires are usually highly destructive forces. This is obvious these days in the American state of California, and other parts of the American and Canadian West.

What do wildfires have to do with spirituality?

Fire can be a very destructive force. That’s obvious in what’s going on today with the wildfires. But fire is also a cleansing and healing force.

Part of the reason these so-called natural disasters happen is to counteract or to cleanse, the effects of harmful human energies on the planet today.Read more

Father James Martin is an American Jesuit priest. He’s a strong advocate for the LGBT community.

Lately, Father Martin has come under fire from conservative elements within his own Roman Catholic Church.

I graduated from a Jesuit college. The Jesuits are sometimes noted for their more liberal (humanitarian) approach to Christianity than other elements of the Roman church, including The Vatican.

Recently, Father Martin criticized his church in the new documentary, Building a Bridge, featured at the Tribeca Film Festival.Read more
