Over the years Spirit has talked about death many times.

Unfortunately, it’s a subject most humans prefer to avoid. It instills dread and fear in the hearts of many.

Having grown up in the United States and now living in the Netherlands, it’s struck me how vast a difference there is between the Dutch and American views of death.

In my younger years, the adults around me often asked what I wanted to do with my life. Sound familiar? Most of our readers probably had similar experiences.

Of course, the adults expected you to have your sights set on something that was going to bring you money, fame, and good fortune.

Fun At Frank’s Barber Shop by John Cali

Yesterday morning I went to Frank’s Barber Shop for a haircut. We’ve talked about Frank before.

Frank and I were having our usual, friendly chat. He was joking around and laughing, talking about the funny things he often observed about people and the world. I told him he was entertaining, and fun to be around because he was always laughing and joyful.
