God, The World, and You

Our friend, Melody Fletcher, publishes a great blog, Deliberate Receiving, all about Law of Attraction. She recently wrote a blog post, If We Create Our Own Reality, How Did Jesus Get Crucified?

An obviously thought-provoking title, especially if you grew up Christian, as I did.

Wind In the Willows by John Cali

John Cali

That title is from an old Christmas song of the same name. Though I am no longer Christian, I love the song’s lyrics. They convey a positive, uplifting message of love and joy.

The song’s story is about Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, and their travels all over the world bringing a message of peace and joy to all who would listen. The story is clearly fictional, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is the message.

I don’t pay much attention to the mainstream news, though I do browse through it quickly now and then, just so I have some idea of what’s going on in the world.
