There Is No Difference Between You and God

The kingdom of God is within us. The whole of the Godhead is to be found within our individual being, not in holy mountains nor yet in the temple at Jerusalem, but within us. ~ Joel S. Goldsmith

Usually when I channel my spirit guides I have a specific subject I want to discuss with them. But occasionally they will simply “pop in” and start dictating to me. So I quickly grab a pen or pencil and start writing. That’s how this short post came about.Read more

Fly free and happy beyond birthdays and across forever, and we’ll meet now and then when we wish, in the midst of the one celebration that never can end. ~ Richard Bach, in There Is No Such Place As Far Away

Many years ago, I was a commercial pilot. Some of my family and friends questioned my sanity, as they considered flying a dangerous occupation.

Sometimes, they’d ask me why I did it. I always answered, “Because I love it.Read more

The Land of No-Time by John Cali and Spirit

To fly as fast as thought, to anywhere that is, you must begin by knowing that you have already arrived.

Many years ago I had an unforgettable experience of being completely beyond time.

I’d left my house for a destination 10 miles away. I happened to check my car’s clock at the moment I started out. I was driving at the speed limit.

When I got where I was going, I checked the car clock again.Read more

Dare To Be True To Yourself by John Cali and Spirit

Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself. Being true to anyone else or anything else is not only impossible, but the mark of a fake messiah.” ~ Richard Bach

Shakespeare

This above all: to thine own self be true….” ~ William Shakespeare

A couple weeks ago one of my closest childhood friends died. We hadn’t been in touch in recent years, but were in constant touch when we were school kids.

I’ve always thought of myself as a maverick.Read more

A few days ago I spent several long hours in the hospital. Not because there was anything wrong with me. I just had go for a yearly eye exam, and my doctor’s office is in a hospital.

I had to wait for the results of the various eye tests they did. (Everything was fine.) While I was waiting I could not help but overhear the other folks also waiting there. Virtually all of them were talking about everything that’s “wrong” with their bodies.Read more

Many years ago one of the first spiritual books I ever read was Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach, the legendary pilot and author.

In that book is one of my favorite quotations: “We teach best what we most need to learn.”

When I read that I had to stop and think about it. After all, I’d been a teacher for years. But I’d never thought of myself as a teacher and a student.Read more

11 Reasons You May Not Be As Happy As You Want To Be by John Cali and Spirit

Happy Smiling Cat by Yumi Kimura

One of the most common complaints Spirit and I hear from folks is they don’t know how to be happy unless certain conditions are met. Conditions that often have nothing to do with them, and which are beyond their control.

Sound familiar? That was the way I lived my life for many years—till I finally woke up.

Here are some of Spirit’s thoughts.

Spirit

As John said, we hear lots of excuses why people think they cannot be happy.Read more

Always Speak Your Truth Fearlessly By John Cali

Many years ago I graduated from a Jesuit college. They required all students to study philosophy every year. I was fascinated by the subject, and one of my favorite philosophers was the ancient Greek, Socrates.

Socrates was condemned to death for speaking his truth—as he always did fearlessly.

William Shakespeare famously said, To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”

One of my all-time favorite writers, Richard Bach, said “Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself.”Read more

Another New Beginning By John Cali

Here we are at the beginning of another new year. What’s so special about New Year’s Day? Well, probably not much.

My spirit guides, as many of you know, don’t generally predict the future. But they did say recently 2013 would be a much easier year for those on a conscious path of spiritual growth.

Here is exactly what they said (to my partner Barbara):
For those of you who have been working diligently on yourselves, 2013 will be a year of peace and joy.”Read more
