Do You Struggle With the Holidays? by John Cali

George_c_scott_as_scroogeGeorge C. Scott as Scrooge by Bob Doucette

David O. Selznick, the legendary Hollywood filmmaker, once said “I’m so depressed. Christmas is the worst of all. Holidays are terrible, worse than Sundays. I get melancholia.”

Some of my family and friends struggle with the holidays, particularly the winter holidays. (Or summer, if you’re in the southern hemisphere.) Like Scrooge and Selznick, they dread to see them coming each year—whether it be Christmas, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, etc. etc.

Aren’t we missing the whole point of the holiday season?Read more

Transformation vs. Transmutation by Essence Ka tha’ras

It may seem a small difference between Transforming self and Transmuting self, but the truth is there is a vast difference between these two acts.

Transformation is to alter or change yourself in a manner that in comparison to Transmuting yourself is only surface deep. In transforming yourself there is a change in appearance, a revolution and alteration of thoughts, emotions, deeds and actions, and often these changes are large and dramatic as seen by self and others.Read more

The Certainty of Uncertainty by John Cali and Spirit

Did you ever wish you could know what the future holds? I sure did—I spent most of my younger years planning every detail of my life, present and future. How deeply I yearned for certainty, for that sure knowing everything would turn out exactly as I wanted.

Talk about an exercise in futility! I finally learned to embrace not knowing what the future held—to embrace the certainty of uncertainty.

All we have is the present moment. That much we can know with certainty.Read more

The Oak Tree by Hans Brockhuis

It is gorgeous weather. Not too hot, not too cold and practically no wind. I am sitting on a bench in the park. This is not just a bench. It is located on my favorite spot, under a beautiful aged oak tree. A lark shrills his joy about the summer. The trees around me radiate and tell me they are healthy and are being taken care of very well by the rain, which is falling regularly, and by the plentiful sunshine.Read more

How To Have a Healthy Body All Your Life by John Cali and Spirit

Hope_Peace_Joy_(4207698474)Holiday Candles by Rennett Stowe

With the holidays upon us again, our thoughts turn to celebrations. And celebrations sometimes lead to overindulgence. Overindulgence, in turn, leads to thoughts of how we can create healthier bodies.

Here are a few tips from Spirit.

Spirit

  • Love your body unconditionally—exactly as it is right here and right now. It is part of you, your spirit. You chose it—now cherish it for the gift it is.
  • Your body needs quiet time—meditate regularly. It doesn’t have to be a long time.

Nelson Mandela 1918-2013 by John Cali

Nelson_Mandela-2008_(edit)Image by South Africa The Good News

One of my all-time greatest heroes is Nelson Mandela. He showed us the impossible is possible if we never give up.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from this great man:

  • It always seems impossible until its done.
  • Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
  • I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

The Qualities of a Saint by Jane Ritson

Seattle_-_Blessed_Sacrament_-_St._Jude_Thadeus_01Saint Jude Copyright © 2013 Joe Mabel

After the devastation of the hurricane named after St Jude I decided to do a little research on what qualities make a saint.

Initially it was a term of greeting for those in Jesus’ inner circle, otherwise known as his disciples.  After this it was used for people who suffered through following their faith.  Saint-hood is associated with those who devote their life to their beliefs, often entering a monastery or religious order.  Some lived alone, away from the pressures of society. Read more

Gratitude Will Transform Your Life Forever by John Cali and Spirit

Thanksgiving_tableImage by Chef Sean Christopher

In the USA we celebrate Thanksgiving Day the 4th Thursday of every November. I’ve always loved Thanksgiving, and all the holidays. But when I was younger I thought of Thanksgiving mostly as a yearly excuse for overindulging in food, drink, and parties.

It wasn’t until I was much older that I began to understand and appreciate the true meaning of the day. Its name says it all—thanks-giving.

Now, at this time of my life, I make every day Thanksgiving.Read more

Are You a Student or a Teacher? by John Cali and Spirit

Many years ago one of the first spiritual books I ever read was Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach, the legendary pilot and author.

In that book is one of my favorite quotations: “We teach best what we most need to learn.”

When I read that I had to stop and think about it. After all, I’d been a teacher for years. But I’d never thought of myself as a teacher and a student.Read more

Thirteen Mountaintops by Hans Brockhuis

Sailing among the humid eastern winds I am soaring through the skies, looking proudly and calmly down upon the green valley where I am able to recognize the fields and the pastures. Higher up are the woods, the rocks, the cliffs and the many mountain streams who seek their way down towards a broad and calm receiving sea. Above all I am aware of the embracing shield of 13 mighty snow-capped mountaintops. In their full majestic splendor, with their snowy flanks, they are rising up, high into the clear blue skies, their roots anchored deep within Mother Earth.Read more

Plane Crashes and Dead Pilots by John Cali

Lockheed L-1011 by Torsten Maiwald

Even though it was many years ago, I clearly remember the night of December 29, 1972. That was the night Eastern Airlines Flight 401 crashed into the Florida Everglades.

Of the 176 people aboard the Lockheed L-1011, 101 died, including Captain Robert Loft, First Officer Albert Stockstill, and Second Officer Donald Repo. It was pretty remarkable so many survived such a horrendous crash.

I remember the crash so clearly because I was a commercial pilot at the time.Read more

Information About “Twin Flames” by Essence Ka tha’ras

We are speaking of “Reality” as it exists from the 7th Dimension here.)

There is so much information, ancient and current, about the concept of Twin Flames and how to find them, what they are, etc.

I want to share what the Q4 have shared with me about this concept of “Twin Flames” and finding that one special person in physical form we believe is the other half of the whole we perceive our self to be.

By sharing this information I am in no way implying that what is the current accepted truth of a “Twin Flame” is not Truth.… Read more

Beartooth Pass on the Wyoming-Montana border

As I look out my bedroom window to the northwest, I can see the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, one of the most rugged, remote places on the planet.

Those of you in my generation probably remember CBS News reporter Charles Kuralt. He hosted a popular television series, “On the Road,” as part The CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite.“On the Road” lasted over 20 years.

Kuralt once traveled into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness along the Beartooth Highway.Read more

A Model for Global Oneness? by Ian Barnfield

Yes. Yes, I believe we are getting closer to global oneness, and accelerating. Not that it’s necessarily going to be a smooth ride for everyone – there are those who are in great resistance to this idea, and they’re likely to make things pretty rough for themselves and those around them, but that needn’t be you.

You can surround yourself with like-minded people who are heading the same way – towards peace, harmony, joy and ease. And if those people aren’t around you physically yet then there’s the internet.… Read more

There Are No Strangers by John Cali and Spirit

Tenzin_Gyatso, The Dalai Lama

I’ve spoken before about Spirit using my challenges as “raw material” for their messages. Although this one particularly unpleasant challenge happened many years ago, I still vividly remember it.

One Saturday afternoon I locked myself out of my house. So I pried open a window and got in that way. The next-door neighbor saw me and called the police.

Several minutes later two police cars pulled up at my house—I had to prove to them I lived in the house.Read more

When You Love Yourself Your Problems Are Solved by John Cali

My spirit guides often talk about love, including self-love. They say animals are among our best teachers in learning to love, especially to love ourselves. All love starts with ourselves. In today’s world we seeing an epidemic of self-hatred—the source of virtually all this planet’s woes.

As Louise Hay says, “Self-approval and self-acceptance in the now are the keys to positive changes….When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.”

I grew up with some pretty dysfunctional people, some in my family and others among my friends.Read more

11 Reasons You May Not Be As Happy As You Want To Be by John Cali and Spirit

Happy Smiling Cat by Yumi Kimura

One of the most common complaints Spirit and I hear from folks is they don’t know how to be happy unless certain conditions are met. Conditions that often have nothing to do with them, and which are beyond their control.

Sound familiar? That was the way I lived my life for many years—till I finally woke up.

Here are some of Spirit’s thoughts.

Spirit

As John said, we hear lots of excuses why people think they cannot be happy.Read more

Are We Getting Closer To Global Oneness? by John Cali

The Dalai Lama said “Whether one is rich or poor, educated or illiterate, religious or non-believing, man or woman, black, white, or brown, we are all the same. Physically, emotionally, and mentally, we are all equal. We all share basic needs for food, shelter, safety, and love. We all aspire to happiness and we all shun suffering. Each of us has hopes, worries, fears, and dreams. Each of us wants the best for our family and loved ones.Read more

The Scent of Roses by John Cali

One of the most common questions we get in personal readings is “How can I contact my spirit guides?”

The short answer to that is “You don’t have to contact them—they will contact you.”

That sounds like a contradiction since so many people want to contact their guides, but are not succeeding. The reason they are not succeeding is they are not paying attention when the guides actually do contact them—and so they miss an opportunity to connect.… Read more

Did You Know Everything You Want To Manifest Already Exists? by John Cali

Manifest Destinies by R. Gopakumar

Most of us, one time or another, have wondered why we could not manifest what we wanted in our lives—even when we did everything “right.” I know I sure have!

But, for most of my life, I never asked the question our title presents today. How could my desires already exist if I saw no evidence of them in my life? That’s just not possible—or so I thought. Maybe you’ve had the same experience.

You’ve probably heard or read the stories of native tribes not being able to see large European sailing ships as the crews ventured into parts of the world unknown to Europe till then.Read more

Living In The Maze of Today’s World Is Easier If You Know You Are God by John Cali

This week’s article is adapted from a talk my spirit guides and I gave last week at Awakening Zone Radio.

********************************************

Peace be with you!

We are delighted to be here tonight in this particular connection. We trust our words will resonate with you—and perhaps give you a greater sense, and a deeper sense, of who you really are.

Often the folks we talk with give “lip service” to the idea they are God, they are divine energy. When we remind them, some will say “Yes, BUT….”—andRead more

Just Exactly How Powerful Are You? by John Cali

Filippo Bottino, Italian Weightlifter

Most of us vastly underestimate ourselves. We’ve been literally brainwashed by our society, churches, governments, schools, etc. into believing we are powerless against the external forces of “what is.”

My spirit guides have often reminded us of how powerful we are—and of what a bunch of BS that brainwashing is. Here are some of their thoughts.

Spirit

Every one of your thoughts, words, and actions have powerful effects that radiate all around you, and ripple through the entire universe.Read more

The Veil Between God and Humans by John Cali

Divine Light by Andrew Kudrin

One of our readers recently asked me this question:

In all the work that you do with Spirit, are you aware of a sense of the consciousness, itself, being the veil between God and man?”

Here’s my reply:

My own personal experience is that consciousness itself is the link, the common ground between God and us. After all, we are God.

“The only difference between God and us, or between spirit guides and us, is that we have temporary human bodies.… Read more

Always Speak Your Truth Kindly by John Cali

The Dalai Lama and Bishop Desmond Tutu

One of my favorite Dalai Lama quotes is “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”

And another: “My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.”

One of our recent newsletter articles was Always Speak Your Truth Fearlessly. Some folks, including me in earlier years, take that to mean speak your truth aggressively with no regard or consideration for others. That, as I see in hindsight, is a very bad policy.Read more
